  • Aren't most of the data the NSA collects from third parties like Google and Apple who already sell that data? can't anybody theoretically buy that data if its being sold? much like the mobile US carrier's were doing

  • If you don’t think it’s worthwhile nobody is making you watch.

This isn't worthwhile at all, there are better things to do and more worthwhile things to argue about than a shit post. This doesn't help anybody.

I hope you find happiness and success in your life, but taking path's like these, arguing over something so little for "often decades" with snarky attitudes are the opposite direction towards that.

  • There's no emulation. Worst case scenario, the game is using Microsoft's proprietary DirectX graphics API, so we translate those calls to Vulkan or OpenGL with DXVK. That's simply out of our control since we cannot see or modify the code, but everything else is running on Linux.

Intel actually uses DXVK on Windows for better compatibility and performance for their Arc GPU's.

  • imagine not being a gigachad bringing your nintendo 3ds, that actually has a physical switch to disable wireless communication and can record videos and take pictures that totally don't look like they're from 2011

  • No, if it's working for you, why bother? Unless you're the adventurous distro hopper, stick to what's working for you. I'd only take the time to switch my home to bazzite if Nobara started causing problems.

  • Gaming.

if you game on Linux you wanna go with bazzite, games "just work" on there without any tweaking or fixing or patching. And in the rare case you do need to patch a game like gmod, they have a built in script for it like ujust fix-gmod

  • without software, what is hardware? same vice versa, you need good software and hardware to match for a good user experience.

stock android's software is extremely shit, bloated, and slow. but I guess that goes for every out of the box os these days ¯(ツ)_/¯

  • nothing lesser about grapheneos or lineageos at all.

iirc there are problems with trying to use some mainstream apps on these operating systems. When I say lesser I don't mean to demean them, I mean they're the lesser used and not really known about alternative and thus not really supported unless you can live your life in f-droid which if so, kudos to you, you're livin' the dream.

but im all ears if you have a usable alternative for a foss phone.
