  • Just in case you don't already know: On most apps you can type in your instance instead of selecting one from the drop down menu. Im on a small instance too and it took me a week or so to figure it out last month lol

  • I think this is a really good long term strategy, and something that is already happening to some level.

    Many instances are open about blocking others, and warn eachother of bad instances (like a instance full of spam bots or bigots). I could definetly see this evolving into an alliance type network like you described.

  • I really like the way you phrased the mental shift from judging "what a person needs" to respecting their right to make a choice about what they need.

    I agree that most people dont abuse generosity, & beyond that it kind of doesnt matter if they do. Better a chump than a scrooge.
