  • 100% there's a hivemind. That's why I joined lemmy.one, downvotes are disabled to try and stop hivemind downvotings and encourage discussion. On local communities it works well, if only more of the bigger federations disabled them too.

  • I went from 1 comment a week to a few a day, I can't be the only one.

    Sync definitely helped with that.

  • Yeah, both are great games.

  • I email ePubs to my kindle, I'm told Amazon automatically converts them, I've had 0 issues.

But calibre can convert them anyway.

  • I found all of the prior Lemmy apps to either be missing something, clunky, or buggy. The one I liked most was Voyager/Wefwef, but even then it was missing stuff.

Now Sync is in beta and has bugs, but thanks to past development from Reddit it's already so much more polished than all the others, my Lemmy usage has gone up considerably, I've barely touched Reddit today. It does have ads, but they aren't visible when using DNS Adblocking.

  • This game is as much like Vampire Survivors as Overwatch is like Team Fortress 2. Similar looking genres but the gameplay is wildly different when you get around to playing it.

It only cost me a few Β£ on Steam so was well worth it.

  • Luckily for me I actually read the output of the terminal before I hit yes πŸ˜‚

  • Me with Pop!_OS.

No messing, just install and everything looks good and works from the get go.

  • My car tax (VED) is Β£20 a year, Vs Β£0 on electric. Fuel and the extra Β£20 tax a year doesn't equate to the cost of an EV just yet.

EVs are definitely still a luxury, poor people aren't going round with EVs.

  • I don't know where you are, but in Europe it's much cheaper to buy a used Gasoline car. I just got a 1L petrol car for the equivalent of $10k, I can't find a good electric car for anywhere close to that.

  • The tracking is just part of the Google ads, it's not a separate thing, so if ads are disabled then it isn't intermented so no ads or tracking. The guy wants to be paid for his work, I don't think that's unfair.

  • It's 497x886 pixels. It's not a large image.

  • Some form of exercise, I like weight lifting (bodyweight fitness is also fantastic)

Be disciplined and go even when you don't want to because when you're there you're glad you are. If you progressively overload every workout you aim for a new best, something to strive for. Then at the end you get the happy chemicals. Working out is amazing for improving mental health, and you get good visual and physical health benefits too.

  • I've been getting this, but if I press Hide all Read posts then it'll go away again.

  • Why do you care if someone uses Sync? Seems the only people giving a shit are those adamant on "FOSS only".

    Let people enjoy things

(Also if you pay for ad removal the tracking stops, the tracking is only included with the ads)

  • Discord doesn't care about privacy, if you do then Discord isn't the service for you. You could use a burner number, or host your web VoIP server where you don't need to worry about your privacy.

  • I might put it towards ad removal for Sync for Lemmy, haven't fully decided yet.

  • If electric cars follow this path and aren't replaced with something else like enviro-friendly fuels, electric cars.

I don't have an electric car, I dislike how many artificially limit things like speed, it shouldn't be a paid upgrade if the hardware is capable, the amount of tracking worries me too, like Tesla staff could see through your cabin cameras.

I'd rather have environment friendly fuels that work with older cars, even if that requires a new ECU+Fuel pump.
