Thats a fallacy. You're essentially saying because one company was able to fix their shit, the systemic problem isnt real. Thats not the case. Look at the broader picture. Companies are consolidating, building massive conglomerates and the market is hostile towards its customers.
We're industrially torturing and murdering animals for the cheapest meat possible while shutting off our population from the appaling deeds we do for it.
We continually move the goal posts on productivity so that where one person usually worked in most countries per family, now there are two, with the same income.
We could easily solve world hunger if we only had enough while sending billionaires to space.
People who think there is good to see here need a doctor.
Its capitalism. Individuals will not change this. Systemic problems need systemic solutions. First step is outlawing centralization of capital and putting back legislation against large corporations. But good luck doing that in the US.
Have you tried talking to a professional about this? It sounds like you're trying to shield yourself from self hatred by discounting the worth of those you deem lesser in an arbitrary category. Its very common amongst bright but mistreated and or traumatized youth. I wish you good luck.
First thing you could mention is that youre talking about platforms not people. Especially the headline reads very different for people here I guess.
That said, youtube doesnt promote what keeps you on the platform, they have other systems for that and for value as well.
They promote what makes them money. Welcome to late stage capitalism. There already are a lot of alternative platforms like means, peertuve and so on. If you view them and talk about them they will grow.
I agree that its common across all distros. I disagree on self inflicted. Its as if you didnt bother to teach tour kid to ride a bike and laugh at them for falling.
We're a massively diseducated population by now. Friends of mine complain when they have to use a file system instead of buttons to open files and are shocked that making an app instead is expensive.
It is very hard to read your stream of conciousness, sorry. I did read probably half of it and the end since it had a break at least.
I am talking from experience and it is very easy to move but it is very hard to work up the guts to ask people to move your chat, i get it. And it will come with some issues. If you cant deal with them, you're entitled to it.
My point is that not wanting or not being able to is not the same as it being hard in general. People should consider it, try it and if it doesnt work for them thats fine.
But if you move and someone tells you they wont download a less invasive app for some bs reason you know what youre in for.
Yeah, sadly. It has big crashing issues. feel free to check.
