Ran into that a few days ago for the first time. I decided to disable for that site just to see how many ads and to see if the content was worth the effort.
First, it was a bunch of ads. Secondly, the content was good but not that good. I enabled and searched anew.
This is the stuff they don't teach in school but should. If Washington had made the crossing a day earlier, a group of Italian cities would have sided with the Americans.
So, cops are going to get exemptions from local property taxes? I'm not as upset about firefighters and EMS getting it but still... it'll be a good excuse in a couple of years, at most, to raise property taxes on those who can't afford to move to a better state.
Same here. I'll spend a couple of hours extra to make more to share with coworkers (who love the desserts I make and are very supportive) but I can't see myself doing it full time. Maybe a food truck on weekends when I retire
"discrimination should stop across the board"...but we're not going to do anything about it because we just provide a service and don't generate the content...and Elons xeets are his private musings just like everyone elses and the fact that he owns Xitter and makes all the major decisions shouldn't matter...
This is probably my favorite of the series. The original got me hooked on the genre but this one...the number of hours I put in, I could probably have a Doctorate in Urban Planning and Disaster Management.
Prolly cuz everyone on Earth got tired of their BS...like when they had to flee the US to Mexico. Hell, even one of Abe Lincolns campaign posters promised to eliminate the "twin relics of Barbarism" - slavery and polygamy.
I think Christmas has become the poster child for this unending cycle of "event seasons" that is pushed by retailers. New Year's celebrations and sales give way to Presidents Day sales and Valentine's (if you really love her you'll spend $10K on a real blood diamond) then it's Easter (gotta buy cute new clothes for the kids to celebrate the rising of the Christian lich god) then Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Pride Month, Fourth of July, Back to School, Labor Day, Halloween, say hi and bye to Thanksgiving bc Christmas ads featuring white people buying ridiculous shit for their spouses take precedence.
