  • The democrats were already funding billions of dollars worth of leopards in Gaza. This narrative that Muslims voted for this is disgusting when they really had no choice in the matter regardless of what a joke of a "democracy" we have pretends. Why do you think democrats refused to let them speak at the DNC?

  • I am shocked they sold as many of them as they did. I get that there are mindless fans, but this is quite an expensive and ugly commitment to make.

  • I'm always ready.

  • Some regulation is necessary in the space, but Biden’s SEC was going way too far.

Could you please elaborate on this? In what ways did they go too far?

  • If the US went full Nazi Germany and tried to take over the world, could they be stopped?

  • They're both scams, but at least companies make things.

  • That's true, but it can also be used in reverse as a pacifying mechanism. For example, contributing to making the US the most incarcerated population in the world with ridiculously strict "tough on crime" legislation and then pardoning a small fraction of prisoners. Another example is forcing student loan debt to stick around through bankruptcy, but then forgiving a tiny fraction of loans. It's a move to pretend change is in motion, but it's so small and so slow that it's never going to actually solve the problem. This is especially bad when the other party makes such huge moves in the negative direction while we're supposed to be content with tiny steps toward "progress".

  • I have not bought any eggs in about a year or so. The price of food keeps increasing and this is one of the more egregious examples. Sure there's the bird flu outbreak, but I wouldn't be surprised if prices are being increased far beyond the actual cost.

  • onion eyes'd

  • Crash the economy and buy it up on the cheap while the masses are struggling.

  • The entire country tried to revolt in 1984 and millions of citizens were killed by their own military.

    What?

  • Like with anything else, getting good involves practice, practice, practice. You'll encounter problems and you'll learn to solve them as long as you keep up the curiosity and willingness to learn. If you keep asking the question "is there a better way of doing this?" you can keep improving.

  • The doomsday clock is goofy. What benefit is there to setting an arbitrary value on a bad-o-meter?

  • DLSS

  • One red day and you think we know the floor?

  • I think k cups get the hate they do because there are plenty of coffee making machines that don't produce so much waste. The alternatives are practical and plentiful.

  • Sanders is working with what he's got, but it's clear that democrats refuse to actually make primaries democratic. They're inherently undemocratic with so much importance placed on the early states that by the time the later states get their chance, it's already been decided. There is a reason why democrats moved South Carolina up for the primary schedule of 2024 even though Biden was running practically unopposed.

The only performance being played out here is the performance of the "democratic" process which is like handing a kid a toy steering wheel and making them think they're driving the car. You're clapping along thinking the system works and you fiercely defend it against any criticism. In fact, you're so uncomfortable with questioning the system that you admit that you feel reluctant to mention support for any candidate that could possibly be associated with the idea that the process is not the perfect democratic process you think it is.

  • So you decided to completely ignore the point of my post to reiterate "Biden got more votes?" even though the whole point of my post is to show how that's a fallacious argument. Then you went on to spit out the tired talking point "most progressive president in our lifetimes" which is an extremely low bar to clear when democrats refuse to let anyone actually progressive through their party-controlled primary process.
