  • I have installed Lawnchair nightly and I'm trying to use it as default. But when it loads only 3 apps icons are shown in home screen. It seems that I need to manually drag and drop all my 50 icons from drawer to home screen. is this the default behaviour. Is there a way to add all icons directly to home screen?

Also I know that it supports add newly installed app to home screen and I have enabled it in the setting. But my newly installed app from f-droid doesn't show automatically on my home screen which bothers me a lot

  • it is the smoothest in all that I have tested. But it doesn't support "automatically add newly installed app icon to homescreen" which bothers me a lot

“Organize app icons in bulk” is a bit unclear to me, but I think at the very least this will tick most of them

By “Organize app icons in bulk” what I meant is to rearrange multiple apps at once, long-press on any app icon or on the home screen itself until the device enters jiggle mode. Then, drag one of the app icons to an empty spot on the screen. While keeping a finger on that app icon, use the other hand to tap any additional apps that need to be relocated. As more icons are tapped, the home screen will create a stack of apps under the finger, along with a number indicating how many have been selected.

  • thanks a lot

    for those who are interested

    • Folder Launcher doesn't have a home screen for showing icons, it only shows app name in a folder structure
    • Fast Draw have little customizibility in terms of organizing into app folder, it have limited categories represented by different category icon and does not support folder group under categories
  • Many thanks, but according to https://youtu.be/dK1YTsUdd1w, smart launcher doesn't seem to support drag app icon onto another icon and automatically create a folder with 2 icons in it. We can only create a separate folder first and then put icons in it

  • that is very sad to hear, as organizing apps into folders is very essential for me. Do you have any recommendation for a smooth experience of organizing apps into folders? (without those restrictions)

  • Oh but you do

I have made my point and clarified myself in my previous comment. If you are having trouble comprehending it you can ask nicely

You say Apple isn’t any better (or worse off) than Android when it comes to privacy. If that’s the case, you would then prove your claim with facts from reputable sources. Just saying something doesn’t make it true.

I would expect your apology for your misuse of language. I would also expect your gratitude in return for the time I spent enlightening you.

None can make a solid conclusion about which one is better because both stock google and apple are closed source. YOU CAN ONLY GUESS

  • The downvotes say otherwise.

The downvotes means nothing without coherent logic

The onus is on you to provide Apple is worse for privacy than android.

I don't have the responsibility to show you why you are wrong

    good luck

  • thank you you seem to understand very much about windows and computer. May I ask

How to run something you don't trust without performance lost?

How to restrict software permission with open source software?

If you don't want to type please provide videos and articles you read before that address my question

    I'm keen to read

    Thank you
