  • So let’s put Trump’s legal problems in the tech community as well, because it impacts on all of us and he owns some companies that do tech.

Elon isn’t technology. You can make a case that some of his companies are, but just because they can be argued as tech companies doesn’t make this tech news.

  • The issue is smaller communities. All my hobbies have small Lemmy communities… with either 2 subscribers or posts that are months old.

And on Reddit smaller communities are VERY nice. It’s the big subs that are filled with edgy teens trying to out meme each others.

  • If you think you have privacy in public spaces, I got some news for you. People could be and are recording you all the time. Not even counting CCTV and infrastructure recording you.

In a mall? You most likely already have two or three cameras pointing at you at all time. In a street? There’s a few at every street corner.

  • Can't wait for this fucker to drop dead.

If I had the choice I’d rather we build something where no one like him would ever hold public office ever again, and him living in the 200 years. I don’t care about his miserable little life nor person. Fix the loopholes so the rest of us improves.

He is and always had been a symptom of a deeper problem with American culture.

I don’t know why so many people are celebrating deaths here (cf Feinstein’s death). It’s bizarre and macabre.

  • Kagi is either getting free ads or astroturfing all over Lemmy and Reddit these days. Seems like I see at least one post every day that feels like an ad, and the replies in comments are in the same vein.

    It’s super weird.
