  • It’s not out of price for first adopters. What are you talking about? This is not replacing your phone.

I don’t know what people are smoking here but this is about the price that I was expecting for this device. I was actually expecting around the range of Google Glass, so this is actually cheaper. You guys think that leap forwards in tech should come at the price of a Big Mac and be accessible to everyone.

We should rather discuss the UX, usability and tech itself rather than focusing on an inconsequential price point. If it takes off and there is a mainstream version then we can talk market pricing.

  • That I will not understand. Fascists are opportunists first. If they see a reason to hate on some billionaire they’ll eat him faster than the poor will. They don’t care that you gave them millions in campaign money, if your kid is gay and you say “maybe it’s okay to have gay kids” they’ll turn on you.

  • It’s not ownership. From the state perspective you don’t own your children. You can’t sell them, you can’t throw them in the garbage if they’re defective. It’s just insane. At best they’re dependents.

Shit from many “state perspectives” you don’t even own your fetus; you have less rights than it when it comes to health. Some states would rather see you die than the fetus. So much for state rights.

Also, and that’s an argument on your philosophy; even if it’s convenient on some aspect for a state to have a parent own their child, it’s not a winning strategy. States would spend more money and time that way than presuming children are people under the care of someone.

  • Star Wars is samurai movies with a skin on it. The whole thing is borrowed, in space. So it’s okay to have stories like Andor, Rogue One and Mando, etc because they mesh well with the general design of the universe.

Lower Decks is as far as Star Trek as it can be, and yet it fits very well in the universe. Because it respects itself and respect the source material.

JJ never respected the source material and the universe.

  • They were very typical “J.J. Abram’s has no idea what a franchise is actually about”. He actually admitted not having seen any extra materials about the franchise before making the movies, and rehashed existing storylines because it’s safe.

JJ Abrams is loved by the studios for the very same reasons he’s dreaded by the fans.

  • Vote for fascist; no more democracy until civil war or total collapse.

Vote for not-fascist; no democracy/choice until the fascist party change their platform.

It’s reductive but it’s also why a two party system is anti-democratic. You can’t vote properly if you dont have a choice.

  • If anything it is unironically a psychological study into Tommy Wiseau ego, as he did the directing, writing and producing (and acting). It tells us more about his view of the world than any biography could ever.
