If Epic could actually provide a better service, they would be seeing customers and developers actually want to use their platform.
Doubt
Gog is objectively giving you more value for your money but even cdpr had to release the Gwent standalone on steam eventually because people didn't buy it enough - once it was on steam it sold more than in a year on gog in weeks
People don't look at the alternatives at all - unless it's a AAA game with an exclusive deal
Steam is just perfect at keeping the gamers behind them as they are only assholes behind doors to the Devs on their platform.
30% is an absurd cut for a store that has such a monopoly that if you don't release there your game is pretty much cancelled even if you release at your own store without DRM and with additional goodies (Looking at GOG and The Witcher - they released the Gwent standalone like a year later on steam because it didn't sell at all on GOG and then it apparently outsold the GOG version without a week)
People are just too lazy and Steam is keeping them happy enough to not bother looking another way.
Epic isn't a good guy in any case but the exclusive deals on AAA Games they do is probably the only way to get someone to buy the game there instead of Steam
Currently trying out Floorp as a Firefox fork for the possibility that Google's disabling of adblockers in the manifest will make it impossible to use chromium browsers which is kind of good, too
But Vivaldi rules as long as chromium is an option!
I think they actually do understand but don't have enough empathy with other people to see it as their responsibility to protect other people from their viruses.
Not that someone as perfect as them would ever sick enough to potentially infect others...
I'm not vegan but I severely limited my meat consume in the last years (for environmental reasons) and it's really the other way round.
When I'm in a restaurant with someone and order something without meat 9/10 times I have to explain myself. And most of the times people are telling me that they couldn't forego meat as they like it too much...
Because back then it was clear that however many hostages would be released would not be the majority.
Now it looks as if Hamas is not having many more in their control so it would make a difference knowing how many are to be negotiated for. If all but 10 are dead that's a wildly different negotiating position than if they still have 50
I think it's right to try and stop the war and also right to try and replace the Israel government so Netanyahu can finally face the justice he's running from for years.
Hopefully there will be a good solution including a Palestinian state in the end - but with both Hamas and some of the far-right ministers in Netanyahus cabinet both claiming all of Israel for them that's not happening.
At least inside Israel it seems unlikely people will vote for him again and democratic change there is possible - as for Hamas I really don't see how they will ever give up bombing Israel and doing monstrosities as the one that started this whole mess.
It's horrible how the Palestinian people have to suffer both from Hamas and from Israel but painting Israel as the absolute evil is not helping anyone
@admins I think @Linkerbaan might have downvoted my comment because he disagreed with me and not because the comment was necessary bad quality which would break the same rule that resulted in my comment being deleted before
Did I say I was okay with what Isreal is doing? I just asked people to look into the source.
On average more than 1 post per day and almost 2 comments per hour and ALL of them either Anti-Israel or anti-Biden really seems as if you are having an agenda.
Not saying that this specific post is wrong - just that the amount of posts is probably inflated for one side because of people like you.
And for the admins:
how can my comment be removed for breaking rule 5 which I'd have guessed only applies to account-bans as it's about voting based on quality not agreement when I didn't even downvote OPs post or comments and only asked a simple question in well-mannered language?
Yeah he basically put fire to the conflict with the embassy decision basically confirming that he sees the two state solution as dead while playing in netanyahus hands...
And that one third is showing up to vote while the 2 thirds are not sure because biden is too old and then go surprised Pikachu when the crazy ones run the country
And he was best buddies with Trump
But for some reason people that claim to be pro Palestine very often seem to be anti biden...
