  • They'll find some way to make it illegal, shuffle all the trans people into for-profit prisons. This holocaust isn't going to be about executing a populace, not when a profit can be scraped from their bones.

  • What? Are you kidding? You truly have not lived until you've wined and dined in Davenport. The museums and culture impacts of Ankeny speak for themselves. Urbandale obviously needs no introduction.

  • I agree, but the fact that they even came here gives me hope that they are open to change. It's the ones who stayed on reddit are the lost causes, I think.

  • It's an unfortunate trait of the reddit migrations. That place was crawling with die-hard liberals, not entirely dissimilar to scabies. It stands to reason a few of the uninitiated would find their way here.

In spite of how I started this comment, we must remember that they are of the working class, and further division is a benefit exclusive to the capitalist.

I feel that the further we sink into full-blown fascism, the more of them will become aware, and may be counted among allies one day soon.

I plan to speak to those who are willing to listen and learn. But beware the contentious fool, ever seeking a debate but never trying for understanding.

  • We are speaking of the same tree, friend, though some roots go deeper than others. I think the path down the road you mentioned diverges here. I believe there was ill intent behind this, though I cannot offer any proof.

  • No idea who that is, but an important lesson I learned from Uvalde is the is the unintended consequences of the capitalistic virtue of rugged individualism. Even professional tough guys, when thinking death is on the line, will hesitate.

As a minority in america, when some iteration of the proud boys comes knocking, demanding to see a birth certificate, it is imperative that you get them thinking that there's a chance that they don't walk away. Get them thinking, "What about me?" and your chances of survival should increase.

I understand that many will be reticent to threaten another with violence and death, which is perfectly reasonable. However, unfortunately, that is not the reality in which we live. Edit: Formatting, spelling

  • Perhaps to desensitize the common person to the impending brutal violence that will be sweeping the united states.

On a related note, if you are a member of a marginalized group in the united states, you are behind the curve if you do not own, and are not basically proficient with, some form of self defense. This includes some kind of martial art, but a visible deterent is prefered.

  • I hope he shows up blasted on ketamine and drools on himself.

  • I read years ago that white republican women will put up with being treated as lesser in their circles in order to treat others as lesser. So they're fine with being spoken down to and shuffled aside so they can feel free to yell at minorities.

  • He's not going to read them, it's to increase the workload of the workers. It's to slow down and frustrate the workers who didn't resign. He's met resistance, so now he has to apply pressure.

  • Where is the old Varangian Guard now? What a distinct advantage they would have.

  • So we're gunna be a version of nazi Germany, but without the coveted rocket scientists. Just a bunch of dumb idiots, causing lots of problems. The US is going to be equivalent to that guy on the bus who is very obnoxious and loud, but is also very dangerous. Like, most of his problems are his own, but will absolutely stab you for little provocation.

  • A pinnacle of science, a wonder of engineering, that we will never get to see in our lifetimes. Instead, we get to see Taiwan get nuked or something, I don't know. I don't follow the news much, I only know I'm disappointed.

  • Quite the opposite, but maybe his mom feels like she just drank milk and orange juice when she sees her son? I suppose we'll never know for sure.

  • Mother of the groom gave an impromptu speech at the reception about how her son is like milk and orange juice. It was as meandering as it was long.

  • Nice, we're about to run a pirate campaign with like 9, 10 people. We'll be lucky to finish a round of combat in a session, but it'll be one to remember for sure.

  • Lucky, we had to postpone a session 0 due to people having plans for the super bowl. Super boring game, and the whole event felt off. I fell asleep before it ended, but spent the whole time thinking about the fun we could have had.

Also that other commenter making assumptions about you and boycotting seemed just as odd. It reminds me more people came from reddit recently.

  • Given the situation, the fear and confusion was a given. The instant death is a mercy. They could have had the fear and confusion, then slowly burned to death with bones too broken to undo their seatbelts.
