  • Yup. first time I have seen capybaras used as a unit of measurement.

  • Biden is trying to score points with conservatives here, but it just won't work in today's ideologically divided political climate. Conservative views are not based on reason, and this action would assume that conservatives would be reasonable.

  • I'm always a bit suspicious when a Journalist is killed like this. Who were those who may have been threatened by what he published?

  • Trump knows he can't win in a court of law, so he wants to win in the court of public opinion, where a con-man like him actually has some leverage over the gullible.

  • I get out my popcorn, and hope McCarthy will push existing charges against Gaetz to have him dismissed from office.

  • The article is apparently a parody. I'm not laughing.

  • I saw today that they have found that over 80% of the microplastics in the ocean are from automobile tires.

  • How about just paying food service workers a living wage, so that tipping isn't critical for basic survival?

  • ChromeOS is a totally locked down distro of Linux. I prefer Debian Linux with an XFCE desktop thank you.

  • Strange. I mean it has been obvious all along that the Democratic party would support the incumbent. I would be really surprised to see another candidate come forward with the charisma and funding to be a serious contender. That candidate would most certainly not be this guy.

  • So you think that this Democratic guy pulled the fire alarm because he supported Ukraine funding? That doesn't seem super plausible. Don't get me wrong. I really support Ukraine funding. But I didn't think it was a deal killer for the democrats.

  • Excellent article exploring the many factors involved. Personally, I think that the dems should let the GOP thrash themselves into chaos.

  • I'm honestly surprised that Newsom did this veto. What a slap in the face to his constituent base!

  • I don't understand why a democrat would do this. I would have expected one of the extreme right Republicans to have tried to stop the vote, not a Dem. The bill was strongly supported by the Dems.

  • "Mr Steele was the author of the so-called Steele dossier, which included allegations that Mr Trump had been compromised by the Russian security service, the FSB.
The dossier, leaked to BuzzFeed in 2017, also alleged that Mr Putin supported and directed an operation to cultivate Mr Trump as a presidential candidate for at least five years."

  • GOP have no criticism of Menendez, because corruption is business as usual for them.

  • "Cisco said the threat actors are compromising the devices after acquiring administrative credentials and that there’s no indication they are exploiting vulnerabilities. Cisco also said that the hacker’s ability to install malicious firmware exists only for older company products. Newer ones are equipped with secure boot capabilities that prevent them from running unauthorized firmware."

  • Conservative house extremists WANT a shutdown. They are anti-government more than they even care about any issues they bring up in particular. Since the result of a shutdown is exactly what they want, they have no incentive at all to avoid it.
