  • I don't understand how it's so popular in border specifically. Like Taco Bell I understand, that's not Mexican food, they don't claim to be Mexican food, it's gringo food, half the people I see at Taco Bell are Hispanic because that's a specific type of food different from everything else... But there's a Mexican place of some kind on nearly every corner in AZ. There's no reason to ever even consider Chipotle.

  • The advertisers are paying for the opportunity either way. Clicks cost them more money than just displaying the ad. Useless clicks cost them money for nothing.

  • That entire situation... anyone with a shred of brainpower put the blame on the helicopter. They have a lot more accurate equipment in their direct control compared to a commercial airliner or ATC. Not to mention they are much more maneuverable.

  • That will only deal with the SEC portion... it won't do anything for the civil suit at least.

  • Looks like Canada gets an Ivy league teaching staff for basically nothing.

  • They'd have to convince states like Texas, or Florida to arrest him first since that's where he is for most of his businesses.

  • If there is anything even this Supreme Court is consistent with, it is maintaining their power.

  • This assumes he intends to have another election. Remember when he said they'd never have to vote again?

  • Depends on the religion. But as a whole, what we thing of "religions", are definitely a net negative with our knowledge of the world. We no longer need to rely on superstition to survive.

Some religions are more a way of life rather than a structured creator being system with strict rules and exclusionary politics. Religions like Christianity/Judaism/Islam are quite different from Shinto or Buddhism for instance.

  • No one told him because there was no point. They know he doesn't give a shit. He's said as much before. It would have been a waste of time and energy to tell him. And he's the kind of guy that would have fired them for wasting his time.

Literally a net negative for everyone to bother letting the current President of the United States know what is going on.

  • Let's get that full quoted sentence instead of the two worda out of context that let you post the link you wanted.

And if we look at nature in general, non-monogamous breeding across all species is the most common.

Didn't even need the whole sentence, just the word before those... "Across all species".

  • There's kind of my point. It is a societal construct, one largely tied to religion and thus easily mapped to religious expansion across the globe.

"Normal" for things like this is meaningless, because it is entirely based in arbitrary beliefs, not anything inherent in being human. It is based entirely on fake limits we've imposed on ourselves as a culture, nothing more.

This is really only "abnormal" in a traditional, Christianity-based modern societal culture, and that's nowhere near the entire world.

  • I think the fact you have to point out that we're the only species that has developed drugs, in order to exclude every other species kind of proves it though.

  • By what definition of "normal"? Polygamy is a central part of several religions for instance. And if we look at nature in general, non-monogamous breeding across all species is the most common.

  • You do realize that the Model 3 has been available brand new for like $37k for 4 years now, and used ones obviously cheaper than that. That's not exactly cheap, but it's where the vast majority of EV prices are targeted, not the high end anymore.

Tesla is no longer an exclusively $80k+ luxury brand despite what so many people online seem to think still. The vast majority of Tesla vehicles ever made aren't the Model S or X, they are the Model 3 and Y in just the last few years. Hell, half of Toyota's current vehicle lineup is $40k or more.

  • That's why they made sure they owned the media, that way they control the narrative. Conservatives learned after Watergate that the media has the actual power, so we got Fox News.

No one gave a shit about Watergate until the media started reporting about it and educated the public instead of just glossing over the event. You don't need to be competent or popular if the majority of the public never hears about your stupidity and shitty decisions.

  • It's suspicious behavior. Potentially criminal. This is far from clear fraud. That doesn't mean it isn't fraud, that's why there's an investigation of course.

There's an actual reasonable explanation here that doesn't require a bunch of mental gymnastics, just the regular corporate "we do shit when we want to" mentality and lenient reimbursement requirements, despite what some rabid and foaming at the mouth haters want to believe.

  • Assuming it was fraudulent of course.

From the info I saw posted a few days after this whole something started with actual info... The same situation could also be explained by Tesla not submitting claims as they come, instead submitting them as a group after there were comments about the funding starting to end, therefore putting a deadline on submissions. Which would also make sense. Large companies paying and submitting claims for things in bulk on longer cycles like quarterly is very common.

I haven't specifically looked up more info recently though, so there may be new stuff that came out that slipped through my feed.
