  • I have no idea if the gamers installing it are "unaware" (I never played such a game), however it's still a shitty practice. The average Joe has no idea what the hell a rootkit is and it's predatory to exploit this. Also, no game should install rootkits. For the love of god, it's a videogame.

  • In my opinion, the Framework laptop is great for people who want the newest and fastest CPUs, whule also getting the customizability and repairability. I mean yeah, I'd buy an older Thinkpad, but programming in C doesn't require much compute power or RAM. However, my graphic design and video editor friends won't make a living using the same machine as I do. For them, the Framework is miles better than any other brand new machine with the same specs (if they want repairability, etc.).

  • Apparently you can configure KWin (the WM for KDE) to act like a tiling WM. It's very customizable. Also, you can replace KWin with a TWM, such as i3. I remember doing this a long time ago, can't remember how, though.
