  • I have been putting this off for some time now as the RSS feed in qbittorrent was sufficient enough for me. (Also storage space is quite limited on my computer)

I guess I'll check it out this weekend.

  • Yeah the UI is really good. On top of that it supports extensions from Aniyomi and Mihon too.

Although, from my experience the manga reader could use a bit of tweaking as it's a bit janky (compared to tachiyomi, Mihon and kotatsu)

  • Thanks, I didn't know about this one. Looks like a fairly big project judging by the stars on the github repo.

  • I have used cloudstream in the past for watching TV shows and Movies. I remember that some sources were just not loading the video for me.

Do you have any preferred sources that you use in cloudstream ?

  • I guess it's because a lot of local news channels and personalities still use twitter.

  • I want to use software like stable diffusion and oogabooga. Don't they utilize GPU ?

  • I hope they don't abandon the small phone size. Also they need to make it available in more regions.

  • I don't seem to recollect any movie at the moment but here are some TV shows or anime -

    1. Mr. Robot - one of my favourite TV shows, most people using lemmy might have already watched it.
    2. Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu - its about a very lonely middleschool kid's romance
    3. Koe no Katachi - very popular anime movie. Also one of my favourites.
    4. Bocchi the Rock - Anime about an extremly introverted girl wanting to play guitar in a highschool band.
    5. Re-Life - its an anime about a grown up guy getting a chance to re-live his high-school days as part of a experiment or something like that. It was pretty good.
    6. Lookism - its a Manhwa, but also has an anime. Basically the main character gets 2 bodies mysteriously. The original body is the ugly one which people bully him for and the second body is like that of a (male) kpop artist which people view differently.
    7. Death's game - it's a kdrama I recently watched. Although it doesn't exactly fit in with the theme of 'lonlieness' I thought I'd mention it.

P.S - some shows I mentioned here might not be as loneliness inducing as you think.

  • +1 for NHK ni yokoso. It also touches on social awkwardness and things like that as well.

    Overall a very good watch.

  • Can confirm it's working. Backup from tachiyomi J2k restores successfully in Mihon.

This has been my main issue with Kotatsu and Mangayomi.

  • I hope someone releases a build of LineageOS or any AOSP based custom ROM for the s23 series.

  • Motorola has been making a lot of midrange devices lately with Mediatek chipsets and I owned one for 2 years. My particular device (edge 20 fuaion) sold pretty well but there was no ROM development at all.

So pick one with a Qualcomm chip and you will probably have a good time. I Think the recent Moto Edge 40 pro got some Custom rom development lately.

  • I'm trying to decide between Dantotsu , mangayomi and kotatsu right now.

  • R.I.P tachiyomi, I have used it for years. Kind of sad to see it go. Are the forks also abandoning development ? I have been using the TachiJ2k fork for the past 3 years or so.

I guess I will be shifting to kotatsu soon.

  • Some of my favourites are Void Linux, Artix and Opensuse Tumbleweed

Void was my first non-systemd distro, and it was super snappy as well. Some packages may not available but overall I had a really great experience with it. It also offers a version with the musl C library. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Opensuse tumbleweed is an overall a great distro, it's one of my favourites. Also I noticed that many people have recommended it and that's for a good reason. It's installer isn't that user friendly but I would prefer it over Fedora's installer any day. ( I haven't tried the last 3 iterations of Fedora, so it might have changed now )

Artix is well... arch with different init systems. Nothing too crazy. Its what I have been daily driving for the past year or so.

  • IMHO, people in corporations should acknowledge that there is a growing user base for Firefox and give it as much priority as chrome. That way people in an organization can at least explore a different browser than chrome (especially the non-tech folks).

The reality is that companies test all their websites in Chrome. Any automation testing will also be focused on Chrome and Safari. Also majority of the developers use Chrome dev tools for debugging. I don't see that changing anytime soon. I feel that Firefox is like a second class citizen in their book.

But hey, that might be a good thing too. All the tracking B.S will be developed for chrome and We can continue to enjoy privacy with good old firefox.

  • They should find a better fitting name than MemoryCache. Thanks for this comment.
