  • I'm curious, does it allow browsing without an account ?

I have used something called barinsta in the past, but it is no longer working.

  • I use simplelogin all the time. It's really useful.

  • If you put aside the crypto crap, Brave is an okay browser. Sometimes I use it for web development. But I don't like the direction the company is heading towards.

Most of the time I use Firefox with Extensions and Librewolf for everything. Firefox has been my go-to for years and I sure hope it stays that way.

  • +1 for syncthing. It's one of the apps that I can't do without.

  • For the last month and a half, I have not used reddit at all. Lemmy has most of the communities that I was a part of.

But I get that, some niche subreddits still don't have communities here on lemmy. A few of my friends, stopped using lemmy because it didn't have the subs they were active in.

  • You can still get phones like the pixel 7a, which has thick bezels, so I'd say they aren't completely gone from the market yet.

  • There are a lot of people who would be excited for something like this.

It's just that, people who focus more on privacy tend to avoid such products, and even whole companies like microshaft.

  • You are right, I just checked after reading your comment. I was under the assumption that one needs to add their account from the settings menu.

    Thanks mate.

  • Onlyoffice is also a good option.

  • I hope they add multi account support soon.

  • Voyager web app is quite impressive tbh. One of the best web apps I have ever used.

That being said, the infinity app feels like home, I have been using to for over 3 years after all.

    1. Visit a community
    2. Touch the 3 dots in the top right corner.
    3. click on submit post.

I'm not aware if there are other ways to post.

  • You do have a point. I wish projects like GrapheneOS and CalyxOS supported non pixel devices as well.

  • Let's say a person relocks the bootloader somehow... is it possible to get back those lost features ?

  • I considered buying the fairphone and the pixel 7. Unfortunately, the former was not available in my country and the latter had no service centers in my region.

Then I got a good deal on a samsung galaxy s23 and bought it. Now I'm stuck with not being able to tinker with anything.

  • I was in a similar situation an year ago. I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm getting there.

Ideally, a routine which incorporates enough physical exercise, challenge and rest will get you to a much better state of mind.

There's a reason why many of the comments on this post are about physical activities. It just works.

  • I used to dualboot windows and Void/Gentoo 2 years back. Windows screwed up something every now and then

So i got fed up with it and bought a new ssd and life has been so much easier.

Right now ssd prices are very low it seems. So if you can afford it - buying one is a no-brainer.

  • On android there's libretube. I think it has some recommendation/related content suggestion functionality in the app.

On the web version of piped, i do not know of any recommendation feature.
