  • You can try Fennec from f-droid. It's what I use and has been good so far.

If you want to try chromium based browsers, theres something called thorium . The android version is okay (haven't used it much) but the desktop version is really good. Then there's also bromite

  • Came here to comment this. You beat me to it.

  • Sniff sniff

  • You can use bazzite in a distrobox container and get it running on any distro. I tried in Debian.

  • I have a similar issue on my PC. My windows ssd doesnt even appear in the BIOS unless I keep my computer on for over 30 minutes.

I know it's not a fix but you could try booting to endavourOS for sometime and then reboot the system into bios and maybe the windows boot entry will show up. (This works in my case, although when I shutdown the system and boot it the next day, I have to repeat all this)

Whenever I install a minimal linux distro like void, arch or gentoo all my boot entries disappear somehow (even though I have configured grub correctly). But for some reason when I install a distro with the calmares installer this doesn't happen.

I even tried reinstalling windows multiple times on different ssd's still no luck. My hunch is that the NVRAM in my MSI motherboard is causing the problem.

I would appreciate it, if anyone more knowledgeable on this topic can shed some light on this.

  • There are a lot of people who buy phones for gaming, at least in countries like India and China. Even mobile gaming livestreamers are a thing.

I never understood the appeal of mobile gaming, especially when there are tons of great games on PC.

  • I don't know if the phone will last 7 years of updates, if the SoC is already lagging behind a 2 year old snapdragon chip.

  • There are a few options. Like many have mentioned, Nix OS is a wonderful distro with it's own quirks.

If you are looking for something normal, consider Opensuse Tumbleweed and arch linux (or arch based distros like EndavourOS).

  • Now this is the kind of comment I was waiting for. Thanks a lot.

  • You are probably right. I just wanted to know how people would handle faking their death and live on with it.

  • I would say Telegram is less secure than Whatsapp because the messages are not end to end encrypted, when I last checked.

  • They have a ton of phone models, it's gonna be difficult task for them to maintain all of them beyond 5 years.

The 5+ years updates could be just for their flagship/premium line up.

  • Lots of new shows. I know Friren because I've read a few chaoters of the manga. The only other show I know from the list is Eminence in the shadows, and it's a hilarious show.

  • This is good news. I just wish there were tools I could use to change digital vibrance and other settings.

If someone passing by knows such a solution, please do leave a comment.

  • That's awesome !

I have tried FreeBSD and OpenBSD but not Dragonfly, but I was interested in HammerFS.

I had to move to linux on my computer because I have an nvidia card and a lot of data in btrfs partitions.

  • Many developers have their FOSS apps as paid apps in the play store, so that people who really want to support the dev can do so from the play store itself.

  • I don't have anything against systemd that is until I tried void linux for the first time. The working of runit seemed very simple and efficient compared to the complexity of systemd.

I still don't hate systemd, but I just wish it was simpler.
