  • A small sprinkle of low moisture cheese or a slice of mushroom atop the kiwi would insulate it from the heat and provide mouthfeel. It’s the best way I’ve found to keep fresh mozzarella and basil from overcooking. You’ve made me curious enough to try it as well. But I’m a bit sad that my dream of whole, unhidden kiwi slices hanging out atop a pizza as a vegetarian facsimile of pepperoni is dead. You’re a trailblazer.

Also, it may have actually softened your cheese as well, which is interesting. “Actinidain also makes raw kiwifruit unsuitable for use in desserts containing milk or any other dairy products because the enzyme digests milk proteins. This applies to gelatin-based desserts, due to the fact that the actinidain will dissolve the proteins in gelatin, causing the dessert to either liquefy or prevent it from solidifying.”

  • To be fair, unaffordable healthcare is the result of identical issues. A powerful lobbying group preventing the socialization of a universal human need is the cause of most issues in the US, really. What was it, like 300k in campaign donations on average to buy a senator? The number was terrifyingly low.

  • How’d it turn out? I generally make a sweet red sauce to complement the feta so kiwi wouldn’t be terrible on mine. I have no clue whether it’d dump huge amounts of water on the pizza or burn. Spill your secrets, o kiwizza keeper.

  • Definitely. And I’m certain that the Supreme Court, a politically agnostic place, will definitely stick to their intended purpose and offer their opinion exclusively in regard to constitutionality, right?

Relatedly, what would happen if they just told the Supreme Court to shove it and didn’t put captain casinobuster on the ticket? What’s their enforcement?

  • I’m seeing a lot of Newsweek posted here and that is disheartening, to say the least. Newsweek is half a step from the dailymail’s level of bombastic misrepresentation. Continued use of Newsweek as a source is not ideal as a result.

  • I’m curious about the resources required to federate with threads. It would utterly dwarf every other instance in every capacity, 1000fold. Wouldn’t this put a fair bit of financial pressure on every federated instance?

  • This was where I went as well. It’d be fine to appear immaculate, but actually purging every piece of filth from yourself, instantly, constantly is terrifying. Most especially when you consider it a bit further- it’s essentially an erosion field, regardless of how it performs the task. In the most extreme extension of its abilities, it may prevent any of that ooky lead hollow point from landing on you. It’s too vague.

  • It may have changed in the last few months, but I specifically recall seeing hexbear user comments on lemmy.ml posts well over a month after the one-sided defederation while on my sh.itjust.works account. I checked from at least 3 separate instances, lemm.ee, .world, and .works, as it was more than a little confusing for me. That’s also how I learned about spotty comment federation.

  • If A, B, and C are federated and A defederates B and B does not defederate A, then it would look like this. AB=C

A cannot see B, B can see A through C, and C can interact with both. Comment federation when B comments on A can be a bit spotty, from what I’ve seen.
