  • Month 1 of the mortar alarms going off you go to the nearest shelter and sit until the all clear.

Month 3 you go to your room first, or if already there you take your time getting some snacks and a cell phone or gameboy to pass the time.

Month 5 you don't even bother leaving your room unless your unit is known to have someone check trailer to trailer.

  • God I hate hearing this stupid fucking rhetoric. Jeff Bezos owns a yacht that's literally too big to be serviced at most ports so he has yachts to keep his superyacht serviced. Stop acting like stock wealth isn't tangible enough to be considered in the conversation. You're not going to get any of their attention no matter how much you love licking their boots.

Not to mention Elon literally buying twitter so a kid could stop tracking his airplane.

  • Increasing supply won't do anything when these guys just buy everything before they're even done being built. People have realized real estate is literally free money.

The problem is, like most things, it takes money to make money.

  • Maybe so, but at least they can say they tried to. It's not going anywhere because conservatives will do everything they can to get it shot down. Even the medical care Obama was miraculously able to get through is a completed gutted version from what it was supposed to be because of conservatives.

  • The dead rich people are replaced with new rich people. Nothing changes.

It will absolutely change things. The only reason this won't work is because things aren't actually bad enough yet that anyone is willing to go to jail for this. I don't even want to go to into detail because I don't know if that'll get my banned or put on a list (lol) but if enough if the rich are publicly brutalized, it'd make the next person hesitant. This isn't a movie where there's always another evil general ready to replace the first.

  • The rich people already buying homes now would just buy the new homes. Even brand new homes in my area are selling for almost half a million when just before Covid they'd be like 280k or 320k. People not to stop pretending like housing a supply issue and not a corporations-and-rich-people-buying-everything-up issue. When new construction comes up with these ridiculous prices, the people who already own multiple properties just buy it up because they can already easily afford to. All you need is to be able to get a few properties and after that the money makes itself which is why all of the sudden everyone's interested in real estate the last few years. Builders don't care about it because there are still companies and people able to pay these obnoxious prices. Don't even get me started on how everyone thinks they're a genius for realizing how profitable buying homes to use as Airbnbs is.

  • What I don’t get is they are already at like 300% capacity I don’t think there will be any business short falls from selling only to US customers

Because capitalism is about making EVEN MORE the next year. And EVEN MORE the year after that.

  • These people are stupid. Short-sighted generation that can't see past next month. They're not going to be changing anything, just making sure worse for no reason and giving conservatives more time to get the anti-minority establishment further embedded in everyday culture.

  • Chat GPT can tell you exactly how to create an account and order something from Amazon, but despite being able to put that text out it will never be able to actually follow them itself.

This is a really good ELI5 explanation of its limit.
