People keep blaming corporations, but corporations go where the money is and they know how the general population acts. Things are only as bad it as they are because the general population allows it, whether it's not voting or just outright behaving like an idiot that gets views. The only difference between Reddit and Lemmy is Reddit has worse developers.

I think the hope is that eventually things get bad enough for Russia that a revolution starts within. Because of the threat of nukes, Russia will only fall from its own population.

Exactly. Nothing short of some socialism is going to fix this when companies can increase prices as much as they want. Current generation kids will say "well the fair market means someone will lower prices and everyone else will have to follow or lose customers." Adults know that all that's happening is everyone is raising prices across the board since they all win.
