  • Great post. It seems like a lot of people aren't used to using the product of community efforts over commercial efforts and their expectations and feeling of entitlement match that experience. Like they've bought a product and want to complain to the manager when they experience a problem.

  • You are advocating for the elimination of an entire ethnicity. Being an advocate for mass murder/genocide, do you consider your own life to be among those that is worth nothing and should be ended? You'd be a massive fucking hypocrite if you don't.

  • I gave up on finishing those books years ago. It's been long enough I hardly remember what happened in the last one and the next one isn't even on the horizon as far as I can tell. It's not happening.

  • This ruling applies country wide so don’t sit on it if you’re outside of BC.

Class members who make claims on the $14.4-million settlement can expect to receive between $17.50 and $150 each, depending on how many people submit a claim for the settlement money, he said.

Not a princely sum, but no reason to leave it sitting on the table.

  • Not everyone fell for the lies. It's a re-writing of history to suggest that everyone was all aboard with the war in Iraq. That war was preceded by the largest protests ever to occur up until that point. I personally recall Hans Blix, the UN official responsible for weapons inspections in Iraq at that time, repeatedly telling us that there was no evidence of such weapons programs. The New York Times should presumably be at least as questioning as my, at the time, 18 year old self. Particularly since I turned out to be right.
