Yeah, I saw them in the early 2000s (Mars Volta opened, hell of a show) and had a similar experience. They started pretty close to the album and it just kept getting crazier as it went.

Tricky's Something In the Way is a Nirvana cover. I was more of a Tricky fan than a Nirvana fan so it took me forever to figure that out.

Apparently Peter had much ruder lyrics ready to go but the label told him he couldn't do them. Mr. Bungle sort of covered it on their new live album, too, and took a lot of liberties with the lyrics.

For some more context, when I was in my 20s I decided I'd never have kids because I didn't want to have to spank them. My dad always said if you truly love your kids you'll spank them to keep them from sinning. His parents beat him, and in his mind he was doing it right and not being abusive.

I have a lot of issues and it took a lot of time to unlearn that mindset. I have a daughter now and she's great! She's also exhausting but we've never spanked her and never will.

Yep! And then read argv for command-line parameters + a parser. File IO + command-line controls gets you a shell of a utility to work with. Then grab a package you like the look, bring it into your project, and do something with it (image manipulation, network stuff, whatever....)
