If you can't do it through legislation there's always baseball bats, guns, fists, knives, and other useful tools to get the job done.

The fact that everything is controlled through "The Cloud" and some godforsaken subscription service is so terribly sad, funny, and horrifying at the same time. We've literally found every conceivable way to gather and sell people's data while simultaneously milking them out of every last cent with the whole FOMO mentality driven through every piece of hardware and software now sold. It is just absolutely fucking preposterous. We're living in a virtual hellscape that doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

I've been saying for years that Mike Judge is the modern Nostradamus. The dude has called everything from dumb teenagers, to American work culture, to misinformed redneck culture, to Trumpism. Now he's tackling big pharma and government sponsored terrorism and ecoterrorism with Common Side Effects. The dude is just on top of it.

Fellow atheist here. I swear, are you me because I feel the same way? All these people on the right come across so childish in their beliefs and behaviors. Whenever I get them talking about their hangups that is usually the question I ask them. Are you a baby or something? It forces them to self reflect which I think many of them are lacking in doing on a regular basis.

This has actually frightened me for years. There are fucking weirdo's out there that believe so much in the Bible that I think they are actively trying to make the end times prophecy happen rather than just, you know.... Evolve?

The Brotherhood of Stone has been at this for centuries making people believe in rocks. Its the most despicable, heinous, ludicrous conspiracy that has its claws reaching into everything, literally everything. I've been researching it for decades and I still haven't found just how far the rabbit hole goes.

Obviously sleeper agents to spread the infernal unnatural words of the geologist conspiracy. Rock Hudson! Just look how long they've been keeping the blinders on all of us.

I remember when Reddit threads would have 50000 plus comments on the regular that felt like real discussions where karma kept the assholes in control. The front page always felt full of new things and it felt democratic in a way. In recent years it feels empty, algorithmic, and just kind of sad. Reddit felt like a safe place even with some of the grimier subreddit becoming popular. Now it's just a oligarch pandering Nazi sympathizer platform. I was on there for 12 years and am happy I left it behind.

I said justice would've seen Trump tried on January 7th and hung on January 8th. That got me a soft ban. Then I said kill all Nazis but six and save them for pallbearers. That got me a permaban. Tearing the bandaid off on 12 years of comments and posts hurt but so far I like the attitude of Lemmy a lot better. It feels like real conversation instead of just shitposting and trolling.

Dude... Totally insane. I was saying for years this Gestapo shit was going on and was only getting worse. Absolutely horrifying to see this happening in my country after all the patriotic bullshit they blew up our asses about how great the United States was as a kid. I'm ashamed to be an American.

The lack of education was always the plan. Keep white, straight (press x for doubt) America poor and dumb and isolate them further into xenophobia or the closet until they want to wage war against anyone that isn't white and straight. Meanwhile, the oligarchs preying on that get to profit off of the dumb isolationist hive mind behavior these people exhibit. It's a pyramid scheme built on the foundations of bigotry and cynicism.

Yeah, the rest of the world forgets how many Ray-Ban and eagle and flag t-shirt wearing, truck driving, chubby, bearded, gym bro weirdos and how many vapid, bleached blonde, red lipstick wearing, pearl clutching Karen's there are in America. She's got their votes on lockdown.
