yes it is, in fact it would be much better experience if properly supported if nothing else because Linux can be modyfied into anything, though free community driven Linux is preferable to Sony's closed system.

Then you have endless infighting because today people feels one way and tomorrow the other way.

People in developed nations have typically something called school attendance by law. + extra math or whatever they are bad at. (aside from US) AFAIK. That is because they figured out that if kids don't go to schools, they don't get standardized education or any education at all and that often lead to poor country in few gens.

Yet concept of "feeling" to make the decision is accepted. I see few problems with it. 1st mood change. 2nd everyone feels different. 3rd anthropomorphism . 4th feelings change much faster than scientific progress.

Well i still find it much worse deciding based on feelings than lets say based on level of cognition or consciousness of fetus by properly defined and tested rules.

i just don't get WTH is US doing.
Let the f***ng scientist figure out when it's human enough and when it's not yet human and make the line there as other countries did.
This infighting will only ruin the states.

Aren't games regionally priced like forever ? I've buying key's in GB because they are cheaper. Also Doesn't steam lock you out of your games if you bought US version and travel to the other side of the world? I just vaguely remember people complaining about it.

But you have to give Valve credit for supporting Linux gaming witch if gets popular enough will create perfect competition for Windows. imagine system that requires 1GB or RAM instead of 4-5GB when idle , that doesn't spy on you and is more secure. Perfect for gaming IMHO if taken seriously.

Used to have similar problem with Steam back in the day.

Do you guys think e.g. YouTube or redshit is profitable despite of what they say and without "profit" that's pumped in by investors or mother companies?

They get market share by loosing profit then once they are establish enough so most people won't leave if they change things and they change things and start to make profit.
At least that's the plan.

I agree there are poor countries that luck $$$ but OP doesn't seem to be about this specific poor regions around the globe though.

So you weren't homeschooled but had extra lessons at home to not drop out?

For me this works best regardless of the field

1. Learn basics
2. then do this for rest of your carrier

I agree with pyramid. Teaching someone else or doing it was indeed the best practice indeed anytime i wanted to learn something better.

Well at one point i lead bunch of those "workers" on real project and oh boy, in some cases, i would much rather have robots do it.

School attendance works all around the world. If healthy kids have problems in school, teacher informs parents and they can figure out how to get them extra teaching. But how would you even know kid is lacking behind if being isolated in education. Also curiculum changes over the years. Uncontrolled homeschooling will lead to huge disproportionately in population which will enlarges with each generation. It needs to be formal gov controlled system not just what people feel like is the best.

I think everyone gets that ideal cases exists. But it's the other side of the matter that is worrisome. Problem is that achieved level is not tested, no one is responsible for kid getting proper professional education and everyone will just do it as they deem good fit subjectively. It's dangerous variation.

At least about what could come from average IQ, i guess. Seems i was too hopeful.
