It looks like the Michael moorcock book is this one, which has some absolute gems in it.

Of course, the Brussels sprouts are probably more expensive than the chocolates!

There are no native Latin speakers alive, but there are some fluid speakers. It is the official language of the Vatican, after all.

It may also be useful to draw a distinction between Church Latin and classical Latin.

Still, I think it is incorrect to say that possible to speak Latin fluently.

Why would God divinely inspire writers to write down the story he wants to tell, but not divinely inspire it to be copied and transmitted reliably. There are hundreds of thousands of differences between various biblical texts.

Back in the '80s, when these conventions were labors of love, there were no charges for autographs, pictures, or talking to guests. They actually appreciated and enjoyed speaking with fans.
