This is the first time I hear about "stone".

It's intuitive for you, but things are intuitive if you grow up with it. Fahrenheit is anything but intuitive for me, even if, thanks to the internet, I've been confronted with it for years now.

You don't need to cook every day, just cook a large meal once at weekends and freeze it. I always cook about 8 to 12 servings, so I can skip cooking about every other weekend. I'm lazy, so I mostly make stews, soups, lasagnas or sauces for which i just need to add a fresh portion of rice or pasta I boil the day before. These meals take 2 hours to make (max) and I'm prepared for at least a week. The excess servings of each week add up fast, so I already had some variety after a few weeks. I eat those for lunch when I'm at work and started to make whatever-salads in the evening about a week ago (vinegar-oil dressing, whatever spices/herbs, whatever veggies, whatever proteins). Best decision I made, I'm eating far less crap, less meat and the urge to order food is getting rarer. Hoping I'm gonna lose some of my fat ass in the long run, too :)

I don't think he's staring at the camera like this because he didn't expect it, but because a birth of quarduplets takes a lot of time. He's probably just really exhausted and is trying to keep his eyes open.

The instance is behaving weird for some days and I wasn't sure if it might be connect for lemmy. When I switch instances in the settings I get way more posts than when I'm on sh.itjust.works, which is weird when they are federated, right?

Also I get a lot of errors, like "comment can't be found" when I'm trying to answer a thread or comment from another instance. I even had one situation where the comment I was trying to answer completely changed in the answer window, almost if there was some fuckup with the database.

I also can't see nsfw posts and the defaults in the settings don't have an effect anymore, so I always get "hot", but I set it to "top". I'm not sure if these bugs come from connect or the instance.

Big companies are actively harmful. Just read the example of xmpp and Google that is posted everywhere.

I don't get how this is even a question. Most people are here because they want to get away from corporate social media. It's like asking a person who managed to leave a cult if it was okay for them if they build a church on their plot.
