My wife and her boss. Read my other comment for more of an explanation, but I don't have further details since I'm not involved with the pharmaceutical industry in any way.

I don't have details, but my wife is a pharmacy assistant and I'm only relaying what her boss (pharmacist and pharmacy owner) told her. This has been ongoing for close to a year, when the manufacturers in the article first filed their applications to produce generic versions of these medications.

This is all public record if you want to look into it.

The reason why these drugs are going generic way before they usually do (it's supposed to be 20 years from initial market introduction) is that someone at Novo Nordisk fucked up and didn't file their exclusivity paperwork properly. Just FYI since it's not in the article.

A lot of it was forced conversion. There's a long history of religious and cultural oppression of various peoples in the region. You could probably find some online documentaries about it, though more than a few likely view the events through a pro-Zionist lens.

I was in a month-long work orientation completely over Zoom/Teams in 2022. Having 2 monitors and using picture-in-picture mode really helped me avoid losing track of the meeting while multitasking. Play music in the background if you find that helpful.

For reference, almost all manufacturing is done in Mexico. Final assembly is done in America and takes longer because the process still requires a lot of manual labour and quality assurance.

"The work" is highly variable depending on location so lumping it all together means that a decent amount of nuance is lost.

Just stop a lot if you want to meet people. Make small talk, be open about your travels, ask locals where the cool spots are. Since it's summer, you could make a point to check out some public trails, lakes, and national or provincial parks. You'll definitely find people there.

For accommodations, unfortunately summer tourism is big business in "cottage country" and the cheap spots, even for a few days, were likely booked months ago. You may be able to park overnight at a campground for a decent price, though. But I suggest you still keep looking at B&Bs and motels just in case something pops up last minute.

Here's a tip I heard from a person living in their car: if you can't find a place to stay, try looking for a large parking lot (like a Walmart or something) with a big transport truck parked at the front somewhere; that often means it's okay/low-risk to park overnight.

Anecdotally, I only visit PH on my phone and I use incognito mode sometimes, which I'm just guessing would count as a unique visit. Probably a lot of people are doing the same thing, and globally more people run Android than iOS.

When does it become a big enough issue? Why is it okay for companies and web administrators to lose out on an unquantified portion of the revenue that you say that they are owed in exchange for their services?
