  • The first one and the miles morales "expansion" were rare day ones for me, they worked pretty well on Linux at launch (had to pull in mesa-git for miles morales), all the sony ports have been pretty Linux/proton friendly

  • Since Fedora 35 or more specifically rawhide in the lead up to Fedora 36, so late 2021. Plasma Wayland session, it had some rough edges, but I found it tolerable. I understand some people wont put up with it, or find workarounds and that is fair. Its been good to experience it as it has matured.

  • I'm slightly colour blind and have an app on my phone that can simulate my deficiency. I take a photo and it shows the views side by side. I adjust it til they look the same and then show my wife (with her stupid perfect colour vision) and she can describe the difference in what I'm seeing.

On rare occasions she says what I'm seeing looks better, so it's not all bad

  • Despite what a subset of its fans say - Star Trek is still putting out decent content, on average. We get 10 episode seasons now and the majority of it is fun adventures and when it tries to do social commentary it never takes as hard line as it used to. But at least in the shorter seasons there's less chance of a Threshold or a Subrosa. Maybe its just me but I could watch Lower Decks on rotation
