Because they (wrongly) believe that being âone of the good onesâ will save them from being targeted by republicans and their proposed legislation like Project 2025
That doesnât mean people who have previously voted red are in the wrong (lots of internalized homophobia can lead to opposite beliefs). But once you realize your identity and continue to vote against yours and other peopleâs human rights, youâre absolutely in the wrong.
I agree with your comment, and I donât think youâre saying otherwise. But definitely important to note that a lot of LGBT+ folks start off on the wrong side because of how they were raised, religion, etc. and the internal trans/homophobia that causes.
That said, there are also though a sizeable number of LGBT+ âone of the good onesâ who think their support of republicans will keep them from being targeted by the laws they want to introduce (it wonât. This case itself is proof of that.)
I think thatâs the important lesson to learn here for anyone voting republican and being a part of the LGBT community. The people you are voting for will not let you be just because youâre voting for them.
Youâd think some empathy would be in order. However, judging from the comments made on the bird website, many people are actually proud of this happening.
Yea, existing extensions get things wrong sometimes. Iâm sure this will be the same - especially if sites start changing things to temporarily circumvent. Needs to be an easy way to grab the real URL just in case.
If Google is investing in creating a non-WebKit browser for iOS and given all the heat they are getting for Safari and WebKit, we might see this sooner than later.
Of course they did. You can collect more data by forcing the user to create an account and circumvent most ad blocks in an app though! What incentive do they have to making a functioning site?!
My plex server is the best streaming experience I ever had. Only stopped running it because I just wasnât watching anything for a good bit. More time on my hands now, so time for a revival.
Ridiculous that we âcant findâ the money to pay the people educating the next generation more than this women is/will be making this year from posting photos and videos of herself online. Reveals a number of priorities that are out of line.
Speculation about Gaither's involvement on the platform began in mid-October when she was seen in a video posted on Coppage's account. While the video didn't include Gaither's face, it was recorded at a party, and she was seen in a public picture wearing the same costume that was worn in the video posted on OnlyFans, according to the report.
So are we not going to call into question the âprofessionalismâ of whoever found this video? Or did someone just accidentally make their way to onlyfans and pay to access her content. đ
âWhat do you mean, âwokeâ?â I ask.
She opens her mouth. Half-words and phrases stumble and tumble around. A few talking points from news sources fall out. Finally, she sighs. âI donât know. Just tell me again what you write.â
The absolutely number one thing that allowed me to actually use the thing though was Yabai+SKHD. Tiled windows and the full customization of hotkeys make this thing so much more usable and, frankly - surprisingly - itâs grown on me.
That isnât an iDevice specific issue. Itâs how a ton of mobile devices handle charging of the battery for various reasons, including the obvious one of you being mid boot and losing power to the device.
I wish people (especially just regular olâ people, not big names) realized that if they started using Mastodon or BlueSky their engagement would go up tremendously. Iâve had full blown huge threads with all sorts of people on both platforms, even when I had literally just made my account.
On Twitter youâre lucky to even get a like on a post unless itâs some hot take on a political topic.
Yep. I could see people sticking around if there were not viable alternatives. And while those alternatives have indeed been around for a good while, they are very available now. Thereâs really no excuse now.
Now, while I do think Mastodon is the better platform, Iâm curious to see how BlueSky affects Twitterâs user base once it comes out of its âbetaâ. For all of its faults, it does have the smallest learning curve - if really any at all - when comparing it to Twitter.
