Actually I was going to play with this today. Just to verify, you’d be wanting the swipes for comments to be disabled for this right? Or would you just need to be up at the post for it to work? Obviously both of the two together wouldn’t work well if at all

Also going to experiment with this only working in the tab bar.

We have been exploring things. I think the thing people should realize is that it’s quite expensive to get these done. If you want a solid icon, you’re going to be asked for at least 1000 USD (multiple offers were made for 1.2k and delivery wouldn’t be until September)

On the other side you pay like 100 dollars and get something mediocre. We’d much rather work with community members than go and do something like that (and get better quality honestly) and spend the 100 for nothing.

While we can agree this isn’t a “top tier” icon, I don’t think this is anywhere near a priority right now, especially given the cost.

.world was having a lot of issues today with authentication. Things should be better now.

This was an issue with Lemmy.world. Should be fixed now.

I know there’s quite a few objections to using Imgur so good idea to go ahead and use an alternative. I saw a post earlier talking about some good ones, might make a selection for whichever you want to use.

It’s fixed in the upcoming release. I’m holding off on releasing it because of the issues on .world. The new version will automatically sign you out if tokens are invalidated, but with the issues over there it would just create a 100% unusable app for .world users.

It will actually still conform a bit better than that, trying to stay at 90% of screen height. Otherwise you could have some super annoying images pop up. With the setting turned off images are scaled to 65% of screen height.

Yea, this is an issue thats going on over there unfortunately. I spent about 20 minutes trying to debug it before realizing it was not a memmy specific issue 😅

To be fair, Threads is almost certainly built with React Native which always leads to bigger app bundles. Not to say that there isn't anything fishy in there, but that's part of the reason.

Have you tried a reinstall? We have fixed these issues in the upcoming build but a reinstall should fix it for now.

Use the username for the instance rather than the email.

Hey can you tell me: If you force quit the app now, and open it back up. Do you have to sign in again?

Let me see why you had to do it more than once. Really weird.

The easiest way is a reinstall (I literally just added the logout button now but won't be on the App Store for about a day).

Else, you can add the account again in settings, then delete it. It will delete both accounts and you can sign in.

We already have push notifications :)

The other things are all on the todo list.

Oh jeez, now that's odd. I wonder if they just are not actually getting saved in the app...that sounds like a more of us issue than them to be fair. Let me look.
