Image viewer is being written from scratch and getting continual updates, so this will keep getting better.
I’ve made some pinch fixes though in the latest update, although double tap to zoom still needs some work. Also locking the image within bounds instead of being able to fly off the screen. But that will all come.
Oh wait…do you mean the pop up showing it’s downloading? I removed that since it is instant now, no need to download. As long as you feel the haptic then it should have worked. (Notice that even the share image now is instant instead of needing to download)
I do want to add a toast to show it was saved, so I’ll do that in a future update. But for now it should be working. Can you confirm?
This is true, actually. I’ve felt uncomfortable adding something that essentially can create 10s of requests per second to an APIs that have been struggling significantly.
I see though that it’s being done and - although I’m not one of the admins to know - things seem to be fine now.
I don’t think it’s the best idea, given the fragility of things, but we can revisit this.
So for macOS, it honestly has not been a thought. I’m actually curious to see what it looks like now myself and I might check it out in the morning. Anything that we did definitely was accidental…
As for iPad, I know there’s stuff that’s sub-optimal there, and if I have to be honest, I rarely even pay attention to how things work there. It’s a struggle enough to keep up with a few different iOS devices…plus I don’t have a physical iPad so it’s hard to test.
That being said, eventually I’d like to polish up iPad support a lot more. But I can’t really give a timeline on when that might be.
That is…super weird. I’m about to head to sleep but let me use a simulator tomorrow to test on iOS 15 and see if there are any weird things going on there…sorry that I don’t have an idea as to what could be the issue :/
Anyway, I can change this. Also, for anyone who wants to make changes or whatever, feel free to open a PR on GitHub if you want to make modifications 👍
Out of curiosity do you have a bunch of subscriptions?
