  • The reason was he grifted the grifters.

He frauduantly claimed to have $x donations already, which got him $y from the RNC.

Then he won the primary with just the $y.

If it wasn't for that, he'd still be in office.

  • Why deal with Ubisoft BS on PCs and their Client. Where older games force you to sign in to play them. When I could just have them on one box.

Yeah, but the advantage of PC is games "last longer" graphically.

Old games like those on PC you can max out all the settings and even use mods to further enhance it.

On an old console, you'll always be playing at the same graphics it was released with

  • I think it could work the same way you can import settings from an old account to a new one?

Like someone can make a brand new account, block some shit, then export the .json file

I just don't know if when you import it, if it's additive (which means it would work) or if it replaces what exists with what's in the file. If that's the case existing accounts would "lose" their own subscriptions and blocks.

  • Hadn't thought of this before.

The AI summary stops people from going to the website, which means the website the AI used isn't getting any page views.

On a long enough timeline, it would kill webpages, then the AI has no new info to steal.

  • AI is the most frequent content that I see in my my feed due crosspost,

There's a few instances that are militantly pro-ai, even going so far to ban people just for downvoting AI.

If you just block the communities on those instances, it's like playing whackamole. Because they won't stop making identical communities.

So you need to block the entire instance, and/or the mods since they're the ones making all the posts/crossposts

You won't miss much, the problematic ones tend to have monthly users in the double digits, they're only there to bait people from rational instances into arguing with them where they're a mod.

Ideally .world would just defederate from those troll instances. But they really really want to federate with everyone.

So just block all those instances yourself.

  • I'm really hoping we see some good out of that primary.

But NY state Dems are corrupt as fuck as a state party. They don't care what NY voters want, it's a "safe state" so they cram conservatives like Eric Adams or Hillary Clinton thru a sham primary, then fall back to:

Who else ya gonna vote for?!

Mamdani is the only one who seems to want to fight fascism

Cuomo doesn't give a shit about that, he just wants more women to sexual abuse and more money to grift.

  • We need to start taking a hard-line against any politician taking AIPAC money

We're on our third presidential term in a row where the president prefers Israel to America, and a shit ton of Congress does to

If someone takes AIPAC money, I can't vote for them anymore.

  • They didn't work for anyone...

They were unpaid volunteers and one of the only requirements to do so was they couldn't carry a gun.

And they obviously had a gun, because they shot two people killing one. Because they saw a person legally carrying a gun and panicked.

It's great you edited your comment, but you still just believed a random social media account. One that either intentionally or unintentionally is spreading misinformation.

Just take the two minutes to read the article you're commenting on. And please just stop blindly taking anything and anonymous social media account tells you

  • We know zero about the shooter(s) besides they claimed to be volunteer peacekeepers, but the volunteer peacekeepers were forbidden from carrying guns...

I don't know why people keep acting like they had any type of authority.

They saw a gun carrying a gun breaking zero laws and started blasting.

Good intentions or not, they deserve to be charged and have their firearms taken away.

But this is a larger problem as the article gets into. These "peacekeepers" aren't there to protect from the police, they're there to police protesters and hand anyone further left than they are to the police.

A growing presence at demonstrations in recent years, many protesters hold disdain for protest marshals, pejoratively called “peace police.” To many, the use of marshals hampers spontaneous and autonomous tactics, and puts those who are willing to take more risky actions during protests in danger. In some instances, these “peace police” have gone so far as to isolate and turn in to police protesters who take on more confrontational roles, leading to arrests and police violence.

They're working against the cause not for it, even if they dont understand what's happening

Neoliberals with guns, they do t care about any rules restricting themselves, but will literally murder a bystander if someone else is doing the exact same thing.

Like, when it comes down to it the only people who fucked up were the "peacekeepers". And now someone is dead.

  • Congratulations on your "research" that could have been handled by reading literally any numbers of articles instead of just social media comments.

Like, you could have just read this single article.

I swear the kids are fucking cooked these days....

  • The peacekeeper was hired by the protest organizers.

You're commenting on article that says they were volunteers...

Just like every other article has.

Where is this bullshit that they were paid employees coming from?

And that's not even getting into why a private organization paying someone would authorize them legally to murder bystanders?

  • HIRED BY THE PROTEST ORGANIZERS

What's with people saying "hired" now?

It was an unpaid volunteer, and as far as I know we have zero information on how much vetting was involved.

Like, where is this shit coming from?

Did you read it somewhere in a comment and are just repeating like it's true?

Do you not understand why there's so much criticism of these "peacekeepers"?

Did you ever read an article instead of just comments?

  • I think a lot of people are going to be surprised...

Personally, I don't know why, because it's obvious Russia needs Iran for Ukraine.

But Putin isn't going to let trump attack Iran.

And it's already causing the people Putin makes support trump, start going against him.

I don't want to link an actual tucker Carlson video, so here's some people talking about his interview with Rafael Cruz:

    https://youtu.be/yQEd-ECAwDU?t=1140

It tucker is breaking from trump over this, a lot more rightwing media is going to as well

  • I mean, I only worked one season with migrant laborers, so you may have more experience...

But a lot just aren't gonna come here this season. They don't need us, at least not as much as we need them. If anything I'd expect all this shit to drive up their wages.

    Quick edit:

There's a misconception farm work is "unskilled", it's not. So the vets stay out and we get less experienced workers who do the job slower, and for a higher hourly to deal with the risk and uncertainty.

So both per hour wages and amount of hours needed are gonna go up.

Shits still going to become substantially more expensive.

  • If Clyburn endorses someone in a primary, it's a safe bet that's the worst person who could win.

He calls himself "progressive" because he's well into his 80s, but the world moved on and his views are now conservative.

He should have stepped aside 20 years ago and retired.

  • I mean, there's someone here who has (not even exaggerating) 15+ accounts that they just rotate thru.

It's a hassle to block them all because I still see new ones, but I'll take that over "proving myself" as a unique person with something like this.
