  • Instead of protecting the Constitution, specifically the 9th Amendment, the current SCOTUS is instead denying and disparaging the basic rights of all those people who can get pregnant.

    The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

    SCOTUS is either blind or bought off ... or both.

  • When the story first broke the witnesses/journalists said that a couple of drones had hovered over them before they were hit.

    Israel knew damn well they were journalists and didn't give a shit ... because the IDF actively hunts them down and murders them.

  • There are different styles because each district has some added things to vote on (other than their reps).

    Voters weren't disenfranchised over the style of the ballots. It was because some had to wait over 3 hours for the proper ballots to be delivered to the polling station.

  • It doesn't seem so. The article clearly states that because of redistricting, more areas had split-style ballots and not enough people were trained on which style of ballot should be ordered.

    Tbf a fair portion of this is on lack of communication from the Mississippi Secretary of State's office and the utter stupidity of "needing" multiple different ballots in 9 polling stations.

    Hinds County election officials said confusion arose at split precincts where multiple ballot styles are used. A split precinct is a polling location where voters from two different districts go to vote.

    Ratoya Gilmer McGee, Hinds County’s election commissioner for District 2, was up for reelection as was District 4 Election Commissioner Yvonne Horton.

    “For example, the precinct that me and Mrs. Horton use is Raymond 1. I would have needed 300 ballots for my specific style that would help me on the ballot as commissioner. Horton would have needed over 1,000 for her ballot style,” McGee said at a press conference Thursday. “Those numbers were reversed. She got 300 and I got 1,000, so that created a shortage.”

    Some precincts could have up to four or five different ballot styles, according to Hinds County Election Commissioner Shirley Varnado, who represents District 5.

  • Managers had confronted employees as they handed out union materials in a parking lot outside the building, checking the same workers' identification multiple times and alleging that tables set up in the entrance pathway amounted to insubordination, a serious charge that could lead to termination, according to worker testimony and video reviewed by ABC News.

    The tables violated company policy because they obstructed people entering and exiting the facility, Amazon managers told the workers, the video shows. The workers objected to the claim, saying that their efforts qualified as union activity protected by federal labor law.

    Workers kept tabling in support of the union on this occasion and others. Within two weeks, 11 workers had received write-ups telling them that they could lose their jobs if they didn't stop.

    Companies who flagrantly ignore and/or break the law should be fined an amount that equals their net income for that time period ... cause that's the only thing they'll pay attention to.
