It should be illegal for LLCs or trust funds to purchase housing of any kind.

Because regular unions are there to safeguard the worker's rights against abuse from employers.

Police unions are there to safeguard cops from facing discipline for murdering people.

I will then amend my solution to add this: the fine should be 50% of their profits.

The fines for-profits pay should be scaled to their most recent yearly profits.

I agree with much you have said, but the problem still exists that 30% of counties don't have hospitals ... so expecting that all birthing centers should be within a reasonable range is in the state's lap, not expectant mothers.

This is setting aside the prohibitive cost for those hundreds of thousands of Americans who don't have insurance.

I know the feeling. Seven years ago Canadian band the Tragically Hip were doing their final tour and were going to be in my city on my birthday. I got online to TM an hour early, made sure my info was up-to-date, and started a countdown clock. Right on the second the ticketbox opened I clicked to buy tickets but they were all gone ... only secondary market ones were available at triple the price.

Canada was pissed, the gov't publically stated it was wrong, yet here we are still accepting that TM/LN can do shit like this to us.

Live Nation continues to live its best life while gouging concert goers.
