Can you try to log out and in again? I think there was an update months ago that made this necessary.

Apart from that, you may think about switching to Voyager which has very good support. Did that switch as long time Infinity/Eternity user and couldn't be happier.

  • You mean the community sidebar? I am pretty sure it is "how many users interacted", meaning posting, commenting, upvoting, or downvoting. I once created a new community and had one post with 68 upvotes, and the sidebar showed "69 per day".

However what surprised me, 1 minute after I created the community it also said "49 subscribers". Wonder if those are bots or something...

  • OP is German. The direct translation of stray is Streuner in German. A Streuner is not necessarily a pet without owner here, but can also mean "a pet wandering around alone". So this is likely lost in translation ;)

  • So this happened while power was plugged in. Removing the power led to the system going a bit lower on CPU load as I would expect to save energy. Also the battery seems to not be in a very bad state.

CPU thermal throttling - any idea on how to test (or even fix) this?

  • Temperatures are pretty normal around 40-45°C as seen in the screenshot. Under stress it went up until 85°C, but still normal frequencies and the device was usable.

Throttling seems to be an idea, I found this Git repo, but I have no idea how to confirm this is the issue (and also don't fully understand it), so I'd rather not install it.

With re-checking on Windows you mean create a Windows stick and boot from that (is that possible?) I formatted the drive of the laptop, so no dual boot available..
