  • I've got a 2015 model in the bedroom and the newer 2019 model on the main TV.

It's still plenty fast for general TV app watching. In a new model I want AV1 and VP9.2 support (Future proof and to give youtube HDR).

HDMI 2.1 to gamestream 4k120hz gameplay. Other than that it still supports absolutely everything. Other enhancements that would be nice:

    • New remote without a Netflix button.
    • USB C ports
    • Better bluetooth radio, really struggles with my xbox controller.
    • Other HDMI 2.1 features like faster framerate/HDR switching.
    • 2.5gig ports (not necessary at all but why not)
  • Definitely will play this.

Loved the newer doom games and absolutely loved Prodeus, so should love this too.

Question is do I play switch, PS5 at 120hz or PC with mouse.

(I have a kid so that list is order of how much I can play them)

  • I got my SO to use a password manager.

She got sick of pihole and my firewall blocking her Facebook memes, so she has her own segregated WiFi network, then she's less of an attack vector for me.

Aslong as she uses 2fa on her main accounts and has a password manager I'm happier than most.

  • Im running Windows 11 on my new laptop. Every major update it's like:

    • PLZ LET EDGE BE UR BROWSER
    • BRO PLZ, OFFICE SUBSCRIPTION
    • LOCATION?
    • Let me just install tiktok and FB apps.

My laptop officially supports Ubuntu, think I might make the switch full time. I don't game on my laptop and most of it's use is browser, plex and emails...

  • No, but a good option that still works:

    • Disable pocket from the FF home page.
    • Get your personalised RSS link from your pocket profile
    • Add it to RSS reader of choice
    • Click pocket button on article
    • Read in RSS reader
    • Never see sponsored crap
