  • Not a console player, but cool that the console crowd now also gets to enjoy these games. I don't think I've ever finished any of the stories, but I sure had a great time exploring the worlds of Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. Just walking around you somehow always managed to stumble into crazy encounters. The world felt so dynamic, with all the faction interactions and monsters. One big scary sandbox

  • I don't think these albums will exactly match the music tastes of people here, but here we go:

    • Phuture Noize - Silver Bullet (Hardstyle)
    • Phuture Noize - From Star to Stardust (Hardstyle)
    • Etherwood - Neon Dust (Chill DnB/Electronic music)

  • I'm already very good at the eepy part :3

  • Damn that elevated track does look futuristic. Very Wipeout-esque. I do wonder how they want to make sure that the cars don't tumble down in case of an accident. And also how to retrieve cars that get stuck there somehow due to failures or crashes. I also hope they manage to fix their human rights issues before then, preferably sooner

  • When I started watching F1 I thought it was about cars and racing. But it's really just a show about some of the richest people on earth failing desperately to control their own ego's. It's intriguing, all these interpersonal chess matches playing out. All this drama, and just to keep the drama going we have some cars driving some laps behind Max in a semi-random order every now and then.

  • 10 years ago or something I bought a collection album from an artist I liked. I just did it because I like collecting CDs and I liked his music, but it turns out that it was a limited edition and only 1000 were made, each one had a unique number on it. I've seen them go for a few hundred on discogs a few times. I don't intend to sell mine though, it's in a pretty used state because I didn't really realize the value. I'd also rather have it than have a few hundred euro's.

  • Everything is "the left" if you're far right

  • It really feels like there are a lot of games being played here. I'd like to know whether the Google Drive documents are real. If they are, I feel no sympathy for Horner, he's done. But at the same time it definitely feels like this was leaked to harm Horner, not to help the victim. I guess Jos is right about something: if this continues it will rip the team in half. Though he is definitely an important player in this game himself

  • I agree with Ricciardo, very immature. This is the kind of behavior I'd expect from people in online lobbies, not professional athletes

  • I guess the battle for 1st is still non-existent. At least the battle after Max is getting closer and closer

  • I loved this game. All these planets and their different vibes and playstyles. All the different endings.

  • I mean, after basically every second comment I saw from hexbear was tankie nonsense I definitely started judging them differently. They're extremists who seem to want to turn everything into a debate. So I made sure to block them. Most instances are fine though, and are indeed not that different than the brand of pants someone wears: not something I really care about.

  • Religion is a poison. Why can't they just let people be

  • How does this work for the modern world though? Many of the people who make the financial decisions for the company that I work for are also normal people with a normal income. Their job is to maximize profit for the company under certain constraints, but it's not like they directly get that money for themselves. The image of the proletariat working ungodly hours in dangerous factories while a few rich fat capitalists claim all the money is often quite far from reality in my experience, apart from the ultra-rich CEOs like Musk and Bezos. And I don't disagree that we should regulate the income disparity or anything, I just think that these classes don't really make that much sense anymore

  • Oh absolutely. It's quite impressive that we can generate so many decent quality images of jeanified things this quickly. I've played around quite a bit with generative models during my data science degree and I'm very interested in the ways they get things wrong. It's interesting to see how our brains sometimes pick up very subtle patterns like this.

  • This does explain why I sleep so poorly, I can't sleep straight

  • I don't buy them anymore, same with candy and most other snacks. I know what happens once that stuff enters the house: I eat it all in a few days. The easiest place to stop this is in the supermarket when I consider buying the stuff.

  • Still cool, and you've learnt something which is even better

  • This grass is tripping me out. There's weird patterns in it, something is off. Might have to do with the noise that is used as input for these AI models. There are blobs of colour that are connected in a way that wouldn't happen in normal grass

  • People here sometimes like to hate on generative AI, but I don't think I would've ever been able to admire this piece of art without it.
