  • Not through cities. We need clean running options in densly populated areas

  • I know you want it to be stated outright, which is unlikely to happen. However, section e does state pretty directly:

    (e) Reducing both consumption and production of fossil fuels, in a just, orderly and equitable manner so as to achieve net zero by, before, or around 2050 in keeping with the science;

    Yes, you can pick on 'the science' and what 'net zero' means, but unequivocally phasing out all fossil fuels in 27 years is not achievable unless we found ways to completely replace our current infrastructural needs by that time. This includes upscaling biodiesel and ethanol production to run existing machinery that cannot yet run on electric or hydrogen power, including planes, freighters, etc.

  • For rock material, we generally consider it's age as when it solidifies. Most meteorites are this age because they came from a supernova explosion of our sun at the end of its prior generation. This ejected most all elemental material lager than Hydrogen in our solar system. These elements were fused in that prior sun and ejected during the explosion. What didn't coalesce into a larger body (e.g. a planet) froze into space dust and small asteroids, some of which falls to earth.

    So, the amalgam that makes up the rock is 4.5Ga (giga anum), the minerals within are about the same. However, the elements that made up the stone were made long before in inside the prior sun. Now how long the subatomic particles have been around is a question for someone else.

  • Only downside is when you're at a friend's place and realize too late that they don't have such an awesome amenity. You end up being the toilet slamming asshole, yet again.

  • Burning sustainably grown plants is a net zero carbon addition to the environment. It's not what you want, but it's a step in the right direction.

  • I first read Beyonce, and I was both confused and impressed by her troublemaking and net worth

  • Let's be clear. People's data was stolen by the spy agency long before it was put online.

  • I don't think the law matters here...it's enforcement. I cycle every day downtown in a major city, and I see so much craziness with phones, including watching videos, texting, and playing Pokemon Go while driving. My city has banned all use of cell phones while driving if not using a hands-free devices. It's just that nobody is ever pulled over, nobody's ever even warned, and it seems that nobody cares. The cops too are too busy on their phones.

  • No. He's crazy rich because of selling books online. He's confoundedly rich beyond believe and responsibility because of AWS. It took the former to be able to develop the latter.

  • Warm could also translate to "cozy" or overall "hue". Neither would necessarily pick the indoor photos. I don't think you need to be neurodivergent to be confused, maybe just a little more artistically minded.
