  • I’m not justifying it anymore than justifying the increase in price of cheese.

But instead of spending your time being angry or annoyed at individual companies. Spend your time being angry with the system that requires the companies to have an ever increasing profit.

And stop being surprised by it, accept that this is a symptom of the capitalism, and if you want change.. well, then.. it will not happen by itself, and it will not start in the gaming industry.

  • I don’t think I’m shilling for everything.. I’ve been sailing the seas for as long as I can remember… I just don’t understand why people keep getting surprised at games increasing in price - have you guys forgotten how capitalism works?

Like do you go to your local grocery store and see that cheese has yet again shrunk in size, and increased in price, and then think “this’ll never happen to my precious videogames”?

If so, then I guess I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news

  • I fucking hate LinkedIn.. and the way peoples post their "achievements" like anybody care. "So proud to announce I was promoted to Assistant Regional Manager of Paper Clips"... and then 500 comments sayin "Congrats!" "So deserved!" "Ur an inspiration!!" STOP LYING!!

The worst is them "influencers" who post fake stories about how they hired a homeless man and now he’s the CEO of 7 companies. Or the "I woked 25 hours every day for 10 years and now I successful, you could to", I get physically sick of reading that rubbish.

And don't get me started on the polls!! "Do u think workers should get bathroom breaks? Yes/No/Maybe/LinkedIn Premium™️" WHO IS VOTING MAYBE?? It just engagement bait shit!!

Every morning I open the app and see people I went to school with pretending they Steve Jobs of selling insurance or whatever.

But the company I work for keep saying “we want engagement on our LinkedIn posts, please like them”.. and I guess I’m not better that all the other corporate sheep

  • Thanks for sharing your story! It is very important to get these stories as well, someone who has 20 years in tech so close to getting scammed..

You did the correct thing and kept track of the url etc. on an offday you might not have been so vigilant.

  • I am.

My current job situation makes it impossible to work and watch videos at the same time (mostly)..

It’s a way for me to stress down after a hectic day. I don’t really wanna play video games, but for me putting on a video from a creator, who plays video games ~ there is no new knowledge I need to process, there is no “real world” information that I have to adhere to.. it just is whatever.. and I can turn my mind off, while Pravus talks about something I don’t really care about ~ so yeah

  • I don’t disagree with the sentiment. BUT, being economic left doesn’t have anything to do with accepting furries..

Lib left, lib right ~ those are the political ideologies who should be in favor and support of liberal ideals (such as “be whoever and whatever you want to be as long as it’s not hurting someone else”).. It has nothing to do with the economic left

  • I don’t know, you don’t know, no one knows.. at least not for certain. That’s my point. If I wanted to try my luck with being an oracle, I’d play the lottery ;-)

What I’m challenging is to just plainly saying “nope well never need anymore computational power in our device”..

  • My point was that we cannot predict the future, saying something like;

we are “there” with processing power

    Will be as incorrect as

640Kb should be enough for anybody

It’s just impossible to predict, not only how we will utilize our tools, but also what the consumer wants in 10 years or so.

Besides, narrowing the scope of the device down to “just” gaming is a limited viewpoint.
