Most of the military will likely follow the law. Making atrocities lawful is going to happen very quickly after Jan 20th if not sooner from the way things are going right now.
Eventually. It will. How long? That's impossible to say. As is how bad it will get before a correction occurs. Hitler was in power for twelve years. 70-85 million people died during his reign between slaughters and fighting. And Germany was not the strongest nation in the world (and definitely not the strongest by a wide margin) at that time. Imagine Germany starting off 1933 with the military might to fight two wars at once with the two strongest nations on the planet. And imagine their border was basically impenetrable by any combined force of countries while they fought those two wars. That could easily be where we're going to be at. No one is coming to save us.
I'm pretty certain all out fascism is what we're going to have. A handful of Democrats are not enough to hold democracy together. I don't think it will be long before there's not even a pretense of that being the case.
Those Democrats have careers and families they care about. It doesn't take much pressure to own a few of them. Especially without checks and balances and add in some bootlicking appointees to the three letter agencies.
The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799 ()) is a United States federal law that criminalizes the negotiation of a dispute between the United States and a foreign government by an unauthorized American citizen. The intent behind the Act is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the government's position.
You absolutely can. You can send the US military directly in to finish the job. Or private military contractors. Or stop giving what aid is currently being sent. What doctors are currently there. It can and will get worse with direct involvement.
He doesn't have to. He doesn't have to do much. Though since he now has unfettered opportunity, I think he will. The groundwork is laid for theocrats to run everything down to the dark confines of the womb.
Depending on the size of your mom and pop, I think it would do much of it. At least keep things organized to do a demo of QuickBooks or give to an accountant.
Yeah I started using Actual about a week ago. Setup SimpleFin in a few seconds within a couple of minutes actual was auto populated. I ran into a syncing snag and messaged Simple Fin support. They worked with my credit union and I was all good in a couple of hours. Been running smoothly ever since. I really like it. And I don't have the guilt of not budgeting anymore. Plus, ynab tutorials and advice are basically Actual tutorials.
Money isn't necessarily a factor. I've paid for many services that have made business or operating changes to the point of needing to separate and then there's WinZip on the other side of things.
He helped me so much. I learned an absolute ton because he gave me an easy and safe path to explore. RIP.
