You still believe this genocide in Gaza has anything to do with hostages? The Israeli government delivers cash payments to Hamas because they need Hamas and they know it. The hostages are just an inconvenience the Israeli government doesn't want to deal with. The hostages could have all been released back in October if the Israelis really wanted it.

Deep down in the vox article, it says Glossip was not present for the murder. I live in Oklahoma and been following the story for awhile now. It's one of those cases where they arrested the murderer, but that wasn't enough for them. So they made a deal with the murderer to testify against Glossip like he's a criminal mastermind. The murderer was untrustworthy, then dies in prison, and that testimony is the only solid evidence they have against Glossip. I feel so bad for Glossip.

Our criminal justice is run by criminals y'all.

SCOTUS is extremely unpopular. If they tell Biden to throw more people in jail and he replies with a very public, "get fucked you corrupt prison lobby shills" his poll number would go up even higher.

I get what you are saying, but it gets complicated when print is probably our best resource to understand current events. The propaganda gets preferential treatment. Any counter narrative will get the white glove treatment and might be released months later or shoved under the fold. Without those counter narratives, how do we understand what is happening?

The pro administration stories before the 2003 Iraq war and the antiwar reporting after the invasion are great examples.

As an ex NPR listener, my ability to understand the power dynamics of news has improved greatly since I stopped listening. Centrism stops you from using your brain, and that's no accident.

Israel is an American project with a weird caveat, their government is allowed to influence our elections to send tens of billions in aid back to Israel.

Why would you assume I trust any Hamas sources when I can just listen to Israeli leaders openly call for genecide? Also Hamas is a corpse of a regime who the West pretends is still alive to justify the genecide. My fear is the power vacuum will be replaced with something much worse. The Iraq war all over again.

I wouldn't count out a one state solution eventually. As this genecide and looming regional conflicts isolate Israeli politicians. Because let's not forget, it's leadership not civilians that create these horrible events.

I've heard of this scam happening maybe a decade ago with my extended family. The voice was a real person overseas with a lot of exp tricking grandparents. Scammers only had basic information.

They act as a freaked out kid and the victim gets roped in. They scam for thousands of dollars each time, even succeeding a few times a day would net a big profit. Also cell connections are low fidelity, I bet that aids their ability to trick the victim.

I heard from a bigger streamer. But I started believing it because feeds degrade lot more than YT. I constantly get connection issues more than any other streaming site.

I'm vested in some of these smaller streamers, so I don't want them to lose their income. It feels like twitch is exploiting this sentiment because I'm not alone.

Twitch is run like a private equity acquisition. The rates they are forced to pay their parent company, Amazon, are above market value. Twitch's services will get worse and worse for both streamers and viewers until all the equity is sucked dry. Late stage capitalism y'all.
