They aren't as annoying as people who police anti genocide language. Somehow these same people are gone when the pro genocide crowds makes an appearance on lemmy.

Tax payers aren't the customers. Intuit is the customer here and they are buying income streams from politicians. It's an artificial and unnecessary system.

Is anyone even investigating her? The police are on her side.

edit: I'm not a huge fan of Newsom's neoliberal policies. But the man seems like he can communicate effectively with Americans. He's a candidate for 2024 not 1994. With Trump on the ballot, I will take that.

In my experience, CNN viewers consider themselves centrists. Their politics are very liberal in the classical sense. Unlike Trump voters who want to hurt people while simultaneously feeding their victimhood.

If Joe can't shift these polls soon the DNC has a plan B, either Pritzker and Newsom. Joe can resign before the convention for health reasons, no one can argue that.

They are in a cult and cults cannot exist without rigid hierarchy based on lies. If the cult the leader told his flock 2 + 2 = 5, that has utility the truth could never have. Cult members can repeat that lie to prove loyalty, the basis of a cult's heirarchy.

When a Trumper tells you a crazy statement like 2 + 2 = 5, don't look at it like they are an idiot. They understand they are telling you something normal people would find outrageous and they are testing to see how you react.

It's almost funny to see corporate outlets like the NYT try an explain the GOP. Flat admitting half of the duopoly is in a cult and has been in a cult 40+ years does not mesh with the supposed meritocracy we live in. So these media narratives like to edge around the truth, never quite getting their because reality is a challenge to our corporate run system as well.

Robert Kraft got the billionaire treatment in court with a judge being hostile to the prosecution. They claimed the cops lied getting the search warrant. The courts even went so far to say this sex work wasn't coerced.

Many people would argue these masseuses were exploited, but this how capitalism works. The system ain't about to reform itself out of existence.

Corporate media can't challenge power in any meaningful way and regular Americans don't want to recognize how corrupt our system is.

Let's say my governor pardoned this innocent man, it will cost him enormous political capital and that is not a sacrifice he's willing to make.
