I mean, I agree that I’d rather have 60fps be the standard with the better graphics.
But that’s the argument that the other person should have made rather than “they are locked at 30 and they suck” since technically that’s not true (on either counts if you enjoyed the games).
When I needed a new car in 2019 I somehow found a six speed manual Crosstrek that has all physical buttons for climate and radio/volume that also has a backup cam and a touchscreen for CarPlay/Android Auto.
I was able to get this for half off via some weird QVC deal (I don't know if it still exists), so it's sounding like $35 or whatever is currently a good price for an average game.
Yeah, I don't really understand how you are getting downvoted for saying this in various comments.
Are people actually worried they would would see straight up ads coming into their mastodon feeds if their server federates with Threads? That's a pretty wild assumption to make.
If you follow the Coke brand account, then you'll see Coke brand posts (even then I wouldn't consider those "ads" in a traditional sense), but if you follow MBKHD or, hell, the Barack Obama account you won't have a sudden influx of ads for Pepsi or whatever in your feed.
“I think there has been a lot of inequality in that only certain people can get financing [...] so this notion of decentralized finance is obviously very appealing to guys like me who have been debanked,” Donald Trump Jr. said in the interview on Locals.
Ha. "I'm toxic to banks so we are going to try and grift our idiot followers" is fun.
These apps are a service, and as such - in theory - it’s not out of the question to ask for some sort of payment.
HOWEVER, the price they ask is so damned high it’s not worth it.
I think Tinder wants $35/m to let you “see your likes” (the people who have swiped right on you), and as far as I know that’s basically the only way to ever see them because just using the app regularly they never seem to show up. I think I’ve had 40 Likes in a queue for about a year because they just never show up in day to day usage. I assume it’s all bot profiles from other countries at this point.
I know some people will “everything is usb-c now!” except everything isn’t, so stop.
I have a ten year old Mac Mini on my desk that has two FireWire, four usb, an sd card reader, and Ethernet. I still want most of these things (though, of course swap FireWire for some number of usb-c). I don’t want to HAVE to buy a dock for this machine.
In hearing that it’ll be smaller, my initial assumption is Apple will do the Apple thing and arbitrarily reduce the number of ports while saying “if you want more here’s the Mac Studio that’s way more expensive!”
Yeah for real.
Just gotta wait another couple years. In the meantime, I guess I’m getting all my FF14 jobs to level 100.
