  • UBI micro from Red Hat is awesome... Just saying. And it's free 😂

  • Ansible... Ansible... ansible...

Write a ansible playbook that contain any of the config...

Or Timeshift everything... and restore on new distro

  • There are LTS Kernel from Red Hat Employee, you can install it via https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kwizart/kernel-longterm-5.15/

If you really need that in long term, well, give him some coffee via paypal, haha...

JK, but it's the well known long time best LTS kernel repo in copr. Just not directly endorsed by Fedora as fedora is bleeding edge, when it mean bleeding edge, then any kernel update could break the driver, as the driver is built in into the kernel.

  • I only have problem with driver in Fedora, and nothing Else. Only Upgrade driver when needs to.

  • I would rather try Fedora if it always break. Fedora only break because the driver like nvidia, but nothing else I ever see it broken if I'm using AMD/Intel iGPU

I'm been using Fedora for many version number, and it's fun and working as it's.. Never break, unless it's driver.

  • If you are begining in Docker/Podman, you can try take some course from red hat like DO188, if you don't want fork money, Red Hat with Dan Walsh offer free books https://developers.redhat.com/e-books/podman-action

It will be beneficial for us, developer, and Dan Walsh, Brent Baude, are mostly replying in #podman libera.chat. Well you can ask here tho, I think it's okay.

I just hope /r/podman in reddit moved here, and being federated...

  • Why not set to 5 for media.autoplay.blocking_policy ?

  • The problem is with GTK4, most software are moving, and it cause different UI and since GTK4, we as user can't have option to enable noCSD anymore like GTk3 :')

I'm saying about XFCE, because I'm fond of XFCE workflow

  • I would choose Fedora + ansible for this. NixOS have configuration ansible-like that can be transfered and reproducable to every installation, but Ansible can't replace it, and for me it matters because I love ansible so much...

  • I use this and then for each 2 weeks rsync to my cold storage. Some data I also use rclone bisync to backup to cloud, in case I need it so bad, when I'm hitting the road.

  • RISCV laptops, with battery that can handle 3 days of juice, doing work. And should be powered by linux, either Fedora or it's derivative (imho)

  • ugh... I hope this doesn't end up flame war. Thank you for sharing and reminds me about it.

  • I just saying there OKD can be a replacement of OpenShift, even it's upstream, I just saying that it's possible to have somekind of openshift... in OKD.

  • OKD is free and same as Openshift without support..

  • Fedora is best for almost anything tbh... I always love... Fedora... I don't know, probably I being too fanatics into it :)

  • Yet he exercise something beyond his right, to make CIQ parent company of Rocky for profit.. What is the different with Red Hat, they even won a lot of EL contract because it's cheaper...

Alma is better, they are non profit and driving fedora in some SIG...

Red Hat is sponsor of Fedora not only on paper, but also on reality. Rocky is sponsored by CIQ on paper, but in reality owned by CIQ... Single person..

  • Please open bug ticket in Mozilla Bugzilla. It will help the Firefox development further. 🎊

  • HaikuOS is covered mostly by action retro in Youtube, it's okayish... mostly I think tabbing and the UX design of Haiku is useful for me..

I even imitate it in XFCE Fedora Spin

  • CIQ/Rocky wins a lot of EL Contract, yet they don't even want to work as CentOS Stream SIG.... :/

  • I hope CIQ and Rocky can reflect on this. CIQ already win a lot of EL Contract, but nagging Red Hat to fix everything... :/ don't even put any money, and hoarding all of money, asking Red Hat work for free...
