More of a clarification. Did your mom reap what she sowed? My dad did. I'm not mad at anyone for pointing that out. Neither am I assuming anyone is condemning my mom for being a boomer even though she didn't vote for this stuff.
The few rich assholes only have power and zero consequences because they were supported. My dad supports those aholes and will get what they promised him. My mom has never voted for them and she will too, unfortunately. Who is worse the grifting manipulators or their enablers?
I'd love to believe he's not just setting up his run as an independent for gov but I know better. He was all on the gas for pushing extreme bs until it became untenable in blue CO.
TPP had some serious negatives for the US but did more to make the world less China-centric than anything in the last 30yrs. All the smaller Asian countries (and Australia)on board stood to benefit from increased manufacturing. Would have done wonders to decentralize reliance on China.There were probably less things in the TPP for China to like than western leaning countries. Killing it was a gift to them.
