I made a cool new avatar concept for one of my public accounts, shared it with some people to see what they thought, used AI to do so. Everyone said it was amazing and they couldn't wait to see it in use until I mentioned it was an AI mockup to use to pay someone to make something like it, then suddenly it sucked
It's like Hitler's paintings, they're kinda somewhat decent enough for what they are but because of who/what made them they're suddenly a big deal
ETA: See? Dipshits auto-angry at AI art because their brains are too small to think about things
The only people I saw saying no seemed to be saying it because "you should always link to the source so people can find it", which was rightfully called out for being incredibly silly given we're talking about tweets here
But I used to have a Spectrum computer, and it had no power switch. If you plugged it in then it was just on
Something I've learned talking to my bri'ish friends online over the years: this happens to you guys because you have those switches. I cannot think of anything I've bought in the US that didn't have its own power control for when it's plugged into the wall (unless it's something silly that I made or, for whatever fucking reason, Christmas lights and ONLY Christmas lights as every other decorative string light I own has a switch)
If it's anything like me, a similarly tall man with LARGER feet that look almost Clown-proportional even with me height: a lot, but never seriously enough for it to mean anything fun or funny happens
but wouldn't it be easier to change the voting system to one that counts each vote as equal on a state level and get rid of the voting people stuff
Country wide that requires a constitutional amendment, which requires 2/3 of all states to agree. It's been tried, the cuckservatives rage and bitch like the children they are because it would mean they'd never win again, so it never goes through
There's an effort to make it so that individual states will ignore the EC called NAPOVOINTERCO that would basically force the US to use a popular vote system, but it's not got enough individual states signed on yet to activate itself
When it comes to the US, this is a simple rule to follow: federal change is nearly impossible because of the babies in the GOP, while states are easier but can change a whole lot less overall
I literally sat in my Drs. Office for 45 minutes twice while he _didnt have a patient per his own assistant (who was grimacing at me), and when I got pissed and walked they tried to hit me with a no-show fee
The next time I went in my wife confirmed it wouldn't happen again (I was at work) and they were right. That time it was only 30 minutes because I got angry
The obvious solution to this is Lemmy devs noticing that this is a feature most/all apps use without active support and thus add support to Lemmy itself. Devs will naturally keep to icons that are similar to the default icons
It's a legitimate thing to want and would be a great addition for sure
so you can stuff this whole idea that he had some genius masterplan. None of the trilogies were done perfectly.
Putting words in my mouth, cool
You're not a Star Wars fan but you're in the Star Wars meme community arguing the differences between a set of trilogies.
I scrolled past the thread and saw you being an idiot, so I commented as I'm familiar with the topic. You think I was hunting down this discussion?
"I go to film school therefore my opinion is worth more than yours on this."
Literally yes. The entire point is that your media literacy is dog shit, and to state some of my credentials in knowing why that is. I see it struck a nerve, though, which is funny
Literally incapable of arguing the point at hand and has to resort to personal insults.
I'm only incapable of arguing the point because the other participant in the conversation is a raging baby who clearly doesn't understand media
it's kind of remarkable how you have no ability to focus on the film
Yeah see it's shit like this that I already pointed out makes you look like an idiot. Just claiming people weren't paying attention isn't an argument
If you want to cry and throw shit because you're too immature to have a conversation, by all means
Projection in the extreme
You're a very angry and very stupid 13 year old, you'll learn
Shut up, Nazi
