  • Well, it does not have an economy, so why would it have money?

Also, it doesn't have politics and society in the conventional sense, but men are clearly subordinate to God. Christ is king, this is the way Christians think, so I am not sure this is a correct comparison.

The question of "should Christians strive for a classless society" is a complex one. Egalitarian ideals are very new compared to Christianity, but some Christians now think that in the "fallen world" authority is undesirable as it can be abused. This is not common though.

However, Marxism is an anti-religious ideology. Marxists both believe that religion will disappear after "the base" changes and it will become, ultimately, obsolete, and also have historically persecuted and enacted violence on Christians. So I am not surprised there are not many Marxist Christians.

  • Well, during the enlightenment it existed in a Christian context. I do not see how one can disavow monotheism and accept hermericism, since other gods in it are hardly important to say the least.

Read this. I used to favour Popper, but I now quite like Kuhn. Kuhn is based.

My point is that the scientific endeavour according to Kuhn is not an inherently critical one(as it is with Popper, for example). Science is based on dogmas, positions and suppositions that are not questioned within a paradigm.

  • Acting is not about changing the appearance.

Race is relevant since it tells us quite a bit about someone and people of different races are and have historically been treated differently by society. Japanese people, for instance, were(still are) quite xenophobic.

Why not cast an african or a white person as the Emperor of Japan then? Can't they act?

Let's have a white Martin Luther King. Let's make black people play slaveowners and whip other blacks around, surely they can act quite well.

  • I believe that it is the responsibility of society to provide for parents and children. We should make sure raising children is not particularly damaging economically. Saying that they "breed themselves into poverty" is just an excuse not to do that, as it is in this case.

For this reason, commenting "they will breed into poverty" under a post about tax cuts for mothers is quite misanthropic and idiotic, since it will probably decrease poverty.

  • A working class life is not quite worthless. I would not prefer it, but it is still worth living. You must think that too, otherwise you would kill yourself.

Also, they are not slaves in the literal sense, and I suppose, metaphorically, we are all slaves to society.

  • Well, maybe I should not have used FRG and GDR as an example. I should say that this is not the point I was originally trying to make.

I used those as an example because they are similar countries, and contrasted it with comparing a european nation with a undeveloped african/asian nation. I was not trying to criticise east germany really, and I admit there are many reasons why it was and still is I suppose lacking compared to the west.
