  • It's entirely dependent on what car you buy, they're all different. On some cars it's integral to the ECU or some other component. On other cars like my Subaru it's a box you just remove, then you'll need a custom harness to make the speaker audio work again.

Without saying what car it is nobody can help you without saying "just unplug it".

  • I pay for Apple Music which I use for 10+ hours a day, and YouTube premium through a family plan which I also heavily use. I refuse to pay for anything else beyond one music source and one video source.

  • I switched to iOS a while ago so I'm able to keep my Android phone on an old crusty version of Android that still does what I want. Plus it's rooted so I can really do whatever. "This app won't run on future versions of Android" won't apply if you never update taps head*

  • I have a SP7 and I hate this thing. Mine is the i5 model so it's passively cooled. Doing anything besides light internet browsing and this thing heat soaks so fast, then throttles horribly. Battery life isn't very great either unless I'm doing very light tasks. And windows on a tablet still kinda just sucks.

The SP8 finally fixed performance with all models getting a fan so Windows Update won't nuke the device for an hour to do a basic update. But with Intel battery life is always going to be compromised. If they put an AMD CPU in there those things would be really neat, but it's Intel's baby so it's going to have at least some issues. If they could make a Surface Pro X that isn't garbage it might be amazing. Or if they got the M3 CPU into it then it would actually be a useful "pro" tablet unlike the iPad Pro.

  • The Markup found that the data broker was receiving location data from the family-tracking app Life360 as well as dating apps for the LGBTQ community.

Real shame that they'll publicly shame Life360, but not the dating apps selling our their customers. I'm going to assume it's grindr since it's the biggest name that I'm aware of, and surprisingly isn't owned by match group who I was going to throw under the bus.

  • How many movies do you actually need to store on the device itself? Apple has been all in on streaming stuff so you'd only ever need to actually download stuff when you're planning on going offline.

That said for it's price that's hilariously small storage, but simultaneously peak Apple.

  • Windows 10 has the same ads as 11 so you're not missing out on anything.

I have no idea why people suddenly love Windows 10 now that there's something newer to hate on, despite them being the same bullshit just a slightly different skin.

  • They're not that loud though. Unless they're really close you'd probably just ignore them unless you knew to be looking for it. Especially if you're flying deliberately and not just randomly taking turns or stopping.

They make tools for drones that let you remotely control extra addons attached to them. In particular something that can remotely drop a payload could let you fly by essentially unnoticed easily.
