The one thing enders are good for is teaching you how to troubleshoot printer issues. My only printer right now is the ender 3 v2. Next one I get is likely going to be a voron derivative so I don't have to source parts/build it from scratch.

I don't use Bambu printers, but don't they use a modified version of gcode and still refuse to let anyone see the documentation?

I really wish some large government would order that all hardware manufacturers publicly released any source code used to make the hardware run. I think there are some real arguments you could make for the benefit of the economy if that happened. A hardware manufacturer can still lean on selling the physical parts even if the software can be copied, and the software can be tailored to their hardware making it harder for it to apply to their competitors. I'd actually like to hear others' opinions on that too.

I get the feeling it's going to be constantly running around in circles. The corporations are constantly looking for ways to enshittify things to improve profits, but too much and people don't want to deal with it. They're constantly looking for that balance in a landscape that's constantly changing, and so constantly experimenting with what they can get away with.

Idk, the implication it seems your making is that this murder was bad, but I'd argue the result is pretty good here regardless of intentions (though their intentions seem pretty clear given the bullet casings)

I've done this before on smaller parts and it works. The result is very ugly-looking in my case though.
