Today I heard of Amouranth… hard to confuse words when you’ve never heard one of them. Thanks for the response, it clarified.

I collect Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1, Indie's and Comix primarily. Big fan of Claremont, and a big fan of Robert Crumb... wires must have been crossed.

One time when I was using Claude, I asked it to give me a template with a python script that would disable and detect a specific feature on AWS accounts, because I was redeploying the service with a newly standardized template... It refused to do it saying it was a security issue. Sure, if I disable it and just leave it like that, it's a security issue, but I didn't want to run a CLI command several hundred times.

I no longer use Claude.

I've been collecting comics off and on since I was a pre-teen in the early 90's. I think I had less than 100 books up until about 2013 when I got back into collecting comics. I fell out of the hobby for about 4 more years and got back into it pretty hardcore in 2017 or so and have been pretty consistently involved since then. During the pandemic I learned that there was an entire community of comic collectors on YouTube that made videos about collecting. It was pretty great at first, but over time, I started to realize that a lot of them leaned right. Then more time passed and I realized it was more than a lean. After the most recent election, a lot of YouTube comic book videos became overtly political in support of this shit we're currently enduring. The people that lean left don't seem to say anything against it, and so I felt pretty isolated. I no longer watch YouTube comic videos, but I still collect comics. I just do it as a solo hobby once again.

I lucked out in that all of my relatives that are still living are reasonable. I didn’t need to remove any relatives from my life.

Friends however… yikes! Different story there. I moved from a red state to a blue state in October so I need to meet some people here.

Honestly, just fucking around on Lemmy every other day or so, I always see a new post regarding a protest.

If you've been there 2 years or more, I'd recommend refreshing your Linkedin profile, checking Zip-Recruiter and probably checking out Indeed. You could probably get $30k to jump ship (assuming that you have relevant certifications).

There are a lot of protests going on right now - the news isn't covering it.

Fair salary if under 2 years experience. If you're over 2 years of experience, you are substantially underpaid even as a gov IT worker.
